New PS3 Accessories Priced, Dated
Some of you are already aware of the new PlayStation 3 peripherals headed your way this holiday season, but if not, here's all the information you'll need.
According to NextGen Player, both the Wireless Keypad (formerly announced at E3) and the AC adapter that can charge the Dual Shock 3, Sixaxis, Bluetooth Headset, and the aformentioned Keypad are primed and ready for release. The Keypad, which handily attaches to the front of your controller, will retail for $49.99 and should first start appearing at retail locations next week. The AC adapter, which can simultaneously charge "any two compatible devices through the USB connector and without having to turn on the PS3," will go for $24.99 and should show up in the second week of December. Yes, it will also charge a PSP as well. We're also aware that this is a Canadian source, but as Canada is part of North America - and Sony often refers to North America instead of the U.S. in their announcements - we'll assume these details are valid for gamers in this country. There may be a few small discrepancies, but the bottom line is that both of these very useful accessories can be on your holiday wish list.
Just don't expect the Sixense to be under the tree this year; that one is probably still a ways off. Still relatively big news, though.

Not just that, but to permit additional monies to be channeled into R&D projects surrounding the PS4. Basically the more they can get away with the better. It is not a bad thing, we will get better stuff, you just have to, as an individual, decide do you want to spend so much or only pick the things you really need. At the moment my choices are the actual console itself, one controller, a PSP and related games I want (3-4 AAA games per year). That is it for me...

The UK price for the keypad was 25 pounds, and the NA price is $50, but at today's conversion rates 25 pounds is actually $38.58...
XD someone didn't do the math when they decided either price. They must have just been thinking "$2=1 pound", when it's a lot closer to $1.50...

One of the Aftermarket controllers I liked was the one that had the 3 pound dualshock weights in them..when you got shot in a game you felt it...lol, except sometimes the controller shook so hard that it would trigger the pause buttons in the middle of a game. And it was about 10 bucks cheaper than a PS2 controller.
As for the keypad, I still don't see it doing that well, especially with everyone starting to use headsets in games more..The new Sony Headset is amazing why would I want to type when I can talk? Although I notice not too many people in the Home Beta are using Mic's, so I could be wrong...
