Call Of Duty: World At War PS3 Bundle Confirmed For UK

For European gamers, this will come as good news. For North American gamers, you'll be left hoping the news will apply to you, too.

According to UK site Electronic Theatre, what you see pictured here will soon become available for purchase. It's the Call of Duty: World at War PlayStation 3 bundle package, which features the new 80GB PS3, one Dual Shock 3 controller, and a copy of the recently released World at War. It will retail for the price of £319.99, and it seems Sony has already begun shipping this alluring bundle to retail outlets "nationwide." Some may consider this to be an excessive price for what's included, and a few stores apparently agree with that analysis; some are tossing in a copy of LittleBigPlanet without altering the price tag. But if you're a big CoD fan and you have yet to own Sony's next-generation console, this could be the bundle for you...or at least, the one you ask for as a gift for Christmas. Although Treyarch didn't quite catch Infinity Ward with this year's effort, World at War is still an excellent FPS and possibly the best WWII shooter ever created. Modern Warfare still reigns supreme in our estimation, though.

We'll be sure to keep an eye out for more PS3 bundles this holiday season, and we'll try to figure out if this one will come to North America. If not, well, then it's all you, UK gamers.

cool, people will get this game anyway so no real need for it to be bundled in my opinion

This might be a good reason for my Bro to take the leap from PS2 to PS3, we'll see if the war bug bites him. Bundles do work, I got the Motorstorm one a year ago.

when i say it doesn't need to be in a bundle i mean games that will sell anyway shouldn't be in one because the likely hood is that you will buy it anyway

games that should be bundled are games that are great but you haven't really heard or seen advertised like lbp, motorstorm 2, resistance 2 and so on

I have to disagree with you there. What better way to make sure a new buyer will buy a PS3 over one of the other consoles then to bundle it with a game that they really want? World at War is Multi- Plat and there are going to be people wanting it for christmas, especially with the decent reviews it is getting. If someone hasn't switched to next gen yet, this could be the bundle that has them getting a PS3 over an Xbox. Sure the Xbox is still cheaper, but with Reliability issues, hopefully this will lean more people to Sony? Especially with some retailers throwing in LBP for free.

Any news whether X-Box is doing a WAW holiday bundle as well?

PS, I also bought the motorstorm 80gb bundle..haven't regretted it for a second.
