LucasArts Unleashes Star Wars DLC
Many fans of the long-running series enjoyed Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, but now there's a whole new reason to load it back up and play some more. Yep, it's the first batch of downloadable content!
According to GameSpot, LucasArts has released this new pack for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game; the add-on content features an all-new level complete with the Secret Apprentice! This fresh mission is set in the Jedi Temple, and you will play as Darth Vader's apprentice: your objective will be to discover clues to Vader's origin, which ought to appeal to all hardcore aficionados out there. This update will also boast nine new character skins (including Mace Windu and Darth Maul), and you can nab this bad boy for only $10 (or 800 Microsoft Points). If you like, you can just pick up the costume pack for $5 (400 MS Points), but we have to recommend going the whole way and picking up that new mission. Some complained that The Force Unleashed was too short, but as we all know, downloadable content can be the cure for any brief title. Besides, we know a few Star Wars fans out there...and they always have to have anything new related to their beloved franchise. Well, this qualifies, so get your butts moving.
We also keep hearing rumors about a new "Star Wars" movie based on or inspired by The Force Unleashed, but all of that is just hopeful speculation. Maybe something interesting will come of this, though.

LucasArts apparently announced the two new add-ons were available for 360 and ps3, but evidently they failed to get it to Sony in time to actually get it into Thursday's store update.
