SCEA Reveals Holiday 2008 First-Party Software Lineup
SCEA has released their holiday 2008 software line-up for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Network, and they have also announced that the anticipated 160GB PS3 bundle featuring Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has also hit retail stores.
According to the press release, that new massive hard drive can allow users to "store a robust combination of games and entertainment content, such as 24 high definition movies, 8 standard definition television shows, 100 PlayStation Network games, 2,000 music files, and 2,000 photos." It's four times the size of the HDD found in the default 40GB PS3 model and twice as big as the 80GB model that released not long after the 60GB and 20GB launch versions. As for the games, the avid gamer is aware of most of them, but the highlights are clearly Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet, which - as far as we're concerned - are must-buys for any PS3 owner. Said SCEA vice-president of product marketing, Scott Steinberg:
"This holiday season we have gifts of the highest caliber to suit the taste of every gamer in your household; from community based experiences like LittleBigPlanet, to first person shooters like Resistance 2 to racing games like Motorstorm: Pacific Rift to casual games like SingStar and BUZZ!. We are dedicated to delivering entertainment of the finest quality to our consumers to help make this holiday a lot more enjoyable."
