Killzone 2 Holds February 6 Euro Date?
Update: Not surprisingly, this has turned out to be misinformation. Guerilla's Seb Downie clarified quickly on the official PlayStation message boards by saying it will release in Europe on February 27, not February 6.
Original Story:
By now, most all of you know that Killzone 2 holds a February 27 release date. However, some of you have been asking if this applies to all major territories, and although we thought it should, now we're not so sure...
If you check European site NextGamer, they're showing visual proof on the official PlayStation Business to Business site that KZ2 may launch on February 6 in Europe. Although some gamers here in the U.S. may scoff at the idea - ha! Europe never gets anything big first! - we have to remember a few things. Firstly, Guerilla is a European-based studio. Secondly, the beta was available in Europe long before anyone in North America saw an invite. Thirdly and lastly...well, don't you think it's about time Europe received a high-profile title before anyone else? I mean, they've been kicked around for so long; this three-week jump on the rest of the world should be refreshing for them. Well, anyway, neither SCEE or Guerilla have confirmed this 02/06 release date, but we're relatively certain the date is still 02/27 for North American PlayStation 3 owners. It's a hot topic of conversation, though, so perhaps we'll have an official clarification before the week is out. Or, we could just say "February" for everyone and be done with it. Heh.
Just remember, the sooner anyone gets this game, the better. If you want to talk about a new benchmark for shooters and a title that should completely redefine the FPS genre, then you need to talk about Killzone 2.

It can be annoying as a UK gamer getting short changed all the time on release dates unless it is a world wide release date. I sometimes forget when reading this site that a lot of you on here are from USA like Ben is and when he posts a date for a game I get all eager then realise he means the USA version.
Happy days if it is early :)
