Street Fighter IV Collectors Edition Detailed For PS3, 360 Versions
Although the month of February will be defined by Killzone 2, fighting fans are waiting for another blockbuster title: Capcom's Street Fighter IV. And if you're a true fan, you'll want to pick up the Collectors Edition at GameStop.
If you check GameStop's product pages on its website, you'll see that both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Collectors Editions of SFIV have been fully revealed. Both will feature a miniature collectible figurine, a 65-minute Street Fighter anime movie, a CD soundtrack, and a hint book. The 360 version will get new character Crimson Viper as their little figurine while PS3 owners will get Ryu, and not surprisingly, while the anime movie for the 360 will be on DVD, it will be on Blu-Ray in the PS3 Collectors set. Both versions will retail for $79.99, and it'll be up to you to determine whether or not all that additional content is worth the extra $20. GameStop will toss in a Ryu-like headband if you pre-order any version of the game, too, so - as if we didn't already know - this further proves that Capcom knows how to promote a product. This reminds us of the very cool Resident Evil 5 Collectors Edition set, which is loaded with more extra goodness.
Street Fighter IV is slated to release on February 17, and let's not forget that SF costumes are available for LittleBigPlanet tomorrow. You can pick up new getups for SackBoy (Ryu, Chun Li, Guile, and Zangief) on Thursday this week; each costume will go for $1.99 or you can nab 'em all for $5.99. The closer we get to February, the closer we get to Street Fighter mania...

Secondly, they could easily fit a 1080p movie onto a DVD if they decided to make the movie a "game" and playable on the 360 alone, because you can compress cartoons at a much much higher rate than you can live/CGI video.
People seem to forget that the main difference in quality between EDTV/SDTV and HDTV is the digital reproduction of analog. Things that have subtle differences (like skin tone from wrist to elbow) and shadows on objects are the hard things to reproduce without more pixels to resolve images than simple lines and color -- no matter how complex the pattern (what just about all anime is made of).

I need to be careful. Just because I have one less bill per month doesn't mean I can go crazy... :D
