echochrome Nets Trophy Support, 1,000 User-Generated Stages
Based on the mind-bending works of M.C. Escher, echochrome is one of the most original, innovative and challenging video games of the generation so far. If you've already put your brain to the test, prepare for another go-'round, 'cuz further incentive to fire it up again is on the way.
As announced over at the official PlayStation blog, this tricky and deceiving experience is about to get a whole lot more robust. A new update is now available on the PlayStation Store, and it delivers the long-awaited Trophy support! You will receive your hard-earned Trophies by clearing a certain number of stages, and there will be a few special ones that will rely on your total number of footsteps or falls. As if that's not enough, the user-generated stages that used to come 10 at a time are about to explode in an absolute deluge: no less than 1,000 user-created levels are now available for sampling in Freeform mode. Each new stage will pop up randomly as you progress, and you will see some serious creativity and diversity. You know how puzzle games can get insanely addictive? Well, provided you have patience and a mind that's capable of wrapping around multi-dimensional problems, you need to give this game a try.
It's on the Store now for only $9.99, and for something like echochrome, that's a definite deal. Oh, and make sure to check out the message to fans by Suzuki-san, Producer of this title at JAPAN Studios. It's over at the blog; just follow the link above.
