This time, you guys stuck with your first choice.

So many times in recent Best of the Best Polls, the top seeds after the first week shuffled around a bit during Round 2, but for the Best PS2 Action/Adventure game, one title remained top dog from start to finish: God of War II. SCEA's amazing game is arguably the best overall PS2 game on the planet, and many gamers will even claim it's one of the finest action experiences in the history of the industry. With an immense amount of polish, professionalism, intensity, and brutal over-the-top combat, this sequel somehow managed to improve on the near-perfection of the original God of War. This was the type of game that essentially proved to everyone just how capable the PS2 really was; if you were looking for the "hidden power," SCEA found it for you in GoWII. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater stayed solid to claim the Silver medal while Your Favorite Grand Theft Auto hung on for the Bronze. All three are legitimate masterpieces, so we understand just how difficult this choice probably was for many of you. The final standings are:

Gold Medal: God of War II

Silver Medal: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Bronze Medal: Your Favorite Grand Theft Auto
