Festive Level Pack For LBP This Week

Ready...ready...wait for it...okay, go- Awwwwww...

Yep, say hello to the first LittleBigPlanet level pack, which drops on Thursday and of course will reflect this happy time of the year. More level packs will be on the way, and they'll always feature "themed creative items" including "new costumes, cool objects, decorative items and numerous stickers." The packs will only cost $2.99, and you can nab the Festive Level Pack tomorrow. As you can see via the link above, this DLC will include Wrapping Paper, a festive sleigh and holiday-themed light, six new decorations (including a candy cane and stocking), and "a ton of new stickers." Stick a little elf or reindeer anywhere you please, LBP fans! Obviously, the Festive Level Pack will only be available for a limited time 'cuz the holidays will be over soon, so make sure to nab it before it disappears on January 8. After that time, be on the lookout for more level packs in the future; Media Molecule is only going to work to make everything better. Much like PlayStation Home, LittleBigPlanet appears to be a continual work in progress that can continue to grow and expand over time.

And what better way to celebrate the holidays than to deck out your little SackBoy in traditional festive gear? Don't be such a Grinch and hand over the three bucks...it's okay to like cute things this time of year. ;)

I will skip the LBP DLC... plenty of user generated levels to get through in the coming months and years...

you kinda got it wrong, it not a media molecule made level, its a bunch of goodies that players use to create their own christmas like levels

It is kind of confusing how they call it a level pack. It is just extra stuff for making levels, not actually extra levels themselves.

I really like the wrapping paper costume.

Here is an interesting point though... if you create a Winter Stage... and I want to play that stage, does that mean that those "assets" (which one would buy with this DLC) are available to me? I have to download your level to play it, and it is likely that along the way I may win stingers or objects scattered about your level; does this mean I could win/collect these "assets" without essentially having to pay for it?

Or is it that if I have not bought this pack, your Winter Stage level would therefore not be available to me to play?

You'll be able to play it

But you won't be able to collect the assets available only through buying the add-ons.

I've not bought any of the costumes you have to pay for. I already paid £40 for the game so if I'm to put up 1 pence more I expect it to be major.

I got 90 extra minutes of gameplay from Mass Effect for around £3. Now THAT is value.

Costumes released thus far come to around £18. I could get a whole preowned game for that!
