Conroy, Hamill Lend Voices To Batman: Arkham Asylum
The more we hear about Batman: Arkham Asylum, the more we become convinced that it will be one of the best superhero video games in history.
According to Joystiq, Eidos and Warner Bros. have confirmed the two major voice actors for the promising action title based around the Caped Crusader. Kevin Conroy, who has already lent his voice to numerous Batman animated entries and video games, will once again take on the role of the hero. Mark Hamill will be the voice of the Joker, which is a job he's quite familiar with; he played the same role in "Batman: The Animated Series." If we add this information to early hands-on information we've seen in the past few months, we become more and more excited about Arkham Asylum. A video game based on "The Dark Knight" was canceled in 2008 - much to the disappointment of fans of the movie - but it seems that Rocksteady Studios will pick up the slack and deliver a solid adventure. Besides, we were plenty happy with the movie, anyway, and because Arkham Asylum isn't directly based on any one Batman movie, it might have a chance... Yep, it's true: our expectations are actually quite high.
Look for Batman: Arkham Asylum some time next summer, when it will release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The recent movies have helped to rejuvenate the series; let's hope the quality trend continues with the new game!
