MSG4 Costume And Level Packs Confirmed For LittleBigPlanet
Before it was just a rumor; now it has been confirmed as truth. If you're a fan of both Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and LittleBigPlanet, next week's update is designed specifically for you.
As announced over at the official PlayStation blog, the Metal Gear Solid Premium Costume Pack and Level Pack for LBP will be headed to the PlayStation Store on December 23. The Pack will feature Solid Snake, Meryl Silverburgh, Screaming Mantis and Raiden, and you can nab all of 'em for $5.99 or pick up your favorite individual costume for $1.99. The Level Pack (remember, this isn't a whole established "level," but content you can use to create your own) features a bunch of new "Create" materials, objects and stickers, and more. They're tossing out new Story Levels that are loaded with these materials, too; they say that "Media Molecule teamed with Konami to create 5 new story Levels and 1 new Challenge Level for you to enjoy." The Level Pack, which will cost $5.99, will also come with the following:
- 3 new background music tracks
- 1 new interactive music track
- 1 new Metal Gear Solid themed sound object
- New Plasma Ball danger element
- New Laser Sight gadget
- New functioning Searchlight lamp for those special exclamation mark moments
- and finally, the piece de resistanceTHE PAINTINATOR (and Paint Switch)
You can read all about it at the link provided above - they've got some cool pics as well - and then all you need to do is wait. December 23 is only a few days away, so it won't be long before you can combine two of the best games of the year! A bizarre combination, to be sure, but still a very cute one.

I always thought LBP would be the defining game for the PS3. There was no doubt in my mind about it. I thought the world was gonna go crazy for Sackboy, the way it was for Pikachu. But it got here, and it sorta just went unoticed.

Even the ads they have no which are a MAJOR step up still leave sackboy as nameless..they just describe the levels.
