The Street Fighter IV Collectors Edition In All Its Glory
Somewhere along the road, we've said - at least once - that Capcom knows how to take care of its fans. And guess what? We're gonna say it again: Capcom knows how to take care of its fans.
What you're looking at here is the freshly announced North American Collectors Edition of the upcoming Street Fighter IV, as revealed over at Kramez's Capcom blog. It's such a sweet package. Read that post; not only did Capcom clearly go out of their way to design kick-ass box art - taking plenty of feedback from fans as they went along - but they absolutely loaded that Collectors set with every conceivable item the most hardcore fighting aficionado could ever want. Think we're lying? Check out what's included; again, straight from the blog:
1. The game (duh)
2. A limited-edition (ie., not sold anywhere else) figurine Ryu in the PS3 box, C. Viper hotness in the 360 flavor. Decisions, decisions...
3. Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind: a 65 minute anime movie -- created by Studio 4C -- that sets up the story of SFIV by explaining events post-SFII. BluRay disc in the PS3 box! The Xbox version is a 360 game disc that outputs the movie at 720P, not a DVD.
4. A mini-strategy guide from Prima, written by the same people doing the full-on guide and illustrated by Udon Comics
5. CD soundtrack. Rock SFIV stage chunez in your car!
6. Plus some secret additional downloadable content that were not quite ready to reveal at this point. Look for more announcements soon!
See? We told you! You can grab all of this for the standard Collectors price of $79.99, and if you're a fan of this long-running franchise, you know you don't have a choice in the matter. This is the kind of package you can feel proud of; display it in your living room right next to your entertainment setup, and show it off. Oh come on, it's what every real gamer would do, right?

Both Consoles are receiving an HD anime that is playable on their consoles. Why is that bad?
If you wanted to laugh at xbox owners, laugh about how they're getting the shitty statue...
