Red Bull Air Race Not Hitting Home Until Next Year
If you've been toying about with PlayStation Home recently, you've probably sampled a few of the new features, like Saucer Pop and the game-themed spaces like Sully's Bar from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. But if you just love the mini-games, you need to look forward to Red Bull Island.
We heard about this over the past few weeks: it's going to be a special island within Home that features a very unique Red Bull Air Race. We've seen some early footage of this entertaining little event, but Sony has been reluctant to say when they may add it. Well, European Home Community Manager TedTheDog just revealed that it won't hit Home "before the New Year," and that their current focus is on stabilizing and enhancing the servers. They just updated to version 1.04 yesterday - which temporarily disabled voice chat to alleviate some of the pressure on those heavily assaulted servers - and Sony will continue to work to make Home a more glitch-free and seamless experience. Of course, everyone is also interested in all the STUFF that should eventually work its way into the Mall, and something like a very cool Air Race could be just what the doctor ordered. We assume it's going to control very much like Saucer Pop, although we expect it to be far more dynamic and addictive.
TedTheDog wasn't too specific about this announcement, so we can always hope that it'll become available in January at some point. He's obviously not comfortable with providing an "ETA," but there's nothing wrong with hoping.

Each of the servers are segregated, so you wont be meeting anybody from another region in a public space, but you can still meet up in your personal space.
in addition to that, different features will hit different regions at different times, although Sony is pretty good about at least trying their hardest with regionalization. If the Uncharted and Far Cry rooms aren't on the European servers yet, rest assured they're well on their way.
short question, long answer =D
