PAIN Most Popular On PSN In 2008

If you tuned in to the latest Pulse episode, you should've seen the top 10 PSN downloads for 2008. The list doesn't necessarily comprise the best titles - (Wipeout HD and echochrome didn't come out until later in the year), but PAIN is, at the very least, sadistic fun.

The masochistic title sits atop the list of the most downloaded PSN titles of the year, but let's not forget that a free voucher for the game came with the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots PlayStation 3 bundle. High Velocity Bowling comes in at #2, though, and we consider that a definite surprise...are there really that many people out there who looked at the icon and said to themselves, "hell yeah, a bowling game!" ...really? Well, it must be fun, anyway. It's nice to see flOw, Warhawk and Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty on there, too. Here's the top 10 list:

• 5. flOw
• 6. Warhawk
• 7. Aquatopia
• 8. Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection

So there it be. It might be interesting to see which of these games generated the most total revenue, though, because it might turn out to be a very different list. Either way, the number of entertaining and worthwhile titles on the PSN continues to grow with every passing month, and with the bad weather upon us, we expect even more people to head online and nab some great content.
