Prince Of Persia Storyline Should Continue With Next Entry
Okay, so we don't want to spoil the ending for you, so if you haven't finished the game, here's all you have to know: according to the VideoGamesBlogger, Ubisoft plans to continue the story that began in the recently released Prince of Persia, as most guessed due to the cliffhanger story ending.
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Once you've completed the final challenge in the game, you will watch as Elika seals away Ahriman and is forced to transfer her own life force into that tree (you know, the one her father cut down to free Ahriman at the start of the game). Well, this obviously means Elika dies, and the Prince has only one option remaining: cut down the tree of life (man, that tree just can't stay erect), and bring her back to life. The final cut-scene shows the Prince carrying Elika away from the Temple that is once again infected by Ahriman, who is once again on the prowl. The last words are, "To Be Continued..." which is about as clear a sign as you're ever going to see. Obviously, Ubisoft has kicked off an entirely new iteration of the franchise, but they plan to continue this next-gen saga with the next Prince title. Some may like the idea of continuing onwards with the Prince and Elika while others might've wanted something new, but hey, you can't please everyone all the time.
Prince of Persia is certainly one of 2008's best, so as soon as we can find early details on the sequel, we'll post them up ASAP. If you didn't nab this one earlier, here's hoping you unwrapped it yesterday because it's a definite must-play!
