Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li Japanese Trailer
Kristin KreukYeah, yeah, we all know the rule: movies based on games are usually horrendous. But hey...you may want to check out this Japanese trailer for "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li," because surprisingly, this one shows promise.
We've got the debut trailer for the hotly anticipated action film right here for you (courtesy of GameTrailers, of course), and although we always have reservations for any motion picture based on a video game, we admit to being somewhat encouraged. All we really want from a movie like this is polished and engaging fighting and action sequences, and it appears as if we'll get just that. The heroine, played by the super cute Kristin Kreuk, doesn't really embody the artistic design of Chun-Li in the Street Fighter games, but we'll let it slide. Besides, we're fairly certain that no human woman looks like that, anyway. Hollywood has managed to screw up many such projects in the past - which is why we're still not convinced - but these days, how hard is it to generate a blockbuster, special-effects-laden, epilepsy-inducing action extravaganza? It's one of the two movies they're capable of making these days; the other kind is the brain-dead comedy that most chimpanzees would be insulted by. We don't need an Oscar-winner; we just need a crowd-pleaser, and Hollywood can do that.
Well, maybe. Come February, you may want to buy a ticket to "The Legend of Chun-Li" after playing the greatness that should be Street Fighter IV. It could be the perfect chaser.

she's a skinny lil hottie. if she has thighs like that in the movie, its gonna be CG. i remember when i was a kid wondering if chun li's thighs could choke me to death :D

And it is gonna blow.
They then added Balrog(boxer) to the cast. But he's not there to show off his boxing skills. But instead Hollywood gives him..........guns............yes guns.
Then it gets worse, how is Bison blonde? and so old? i mean seriously.
I would like to be happy 'bout the movie since I'm a huge SF fan, but again like with all game movies this will suck.

Though I think the saddest part of all is the fact that what I've seen in the trailer can and has been done better in other movies.

Being a huge SF fan, the source material doesn't coherently lend itself to movies. However, if I wanted anything explored, I would have selected the Shotokan story branch. Ryu and Ken's training, dark Hado, it would have been much better than selecting Chun Li and a gun touting Balrog.
It looks better than Dragonball Evolution though.
