New Heavy Rain Gallery Found
Now that 2009 is here, we should all look forward to the potentially masterful PlayStation 3 exclusives. The list includes the likes of Killzone 2, God of War III and Gran Turismo 5, but we'd best not forget about Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain.
First revealed last year to overwhelmed audiences of onlookers, the developers of Indigo Prophecy may provide us with this generation's next unique and defining experience. A fresh batch of screenshots has been found at European gaming site Tiscali Games, and one of those pics is shown here. You really need to view the entire gallery, though, which apparently depicts the game's major crime scene. As you can see, these shots are absolutely spectacular; painstakingly detailed and supremely clean. Perhaps it's too early to glean much in the way of gameplay information from mere screenshots, but if you've already forgotten last year's unveiling, watch the debut gameplay trailer, which is most impressive. Ultimately, what we'll be looking for is a top-notch story with an original and atmospheric environment that is nigh-on unparalleled. We have the highest expectations, and this newest gallery has only served to increase the hype surrounding this production.
As the months progress, we hope to see more concrete info come from Quantic Dream and Sony. This year, Heavy Rain may once again remind us all why we love video games, and just how far the industry has come...

This game could really do a lot of the ps3
I'm already replacing Silent Hill for this, I know it's different in theme and concept but within it all it kinda resembles the Silent Hill experience/look.
Sadly I kinda despise SH now and I have every one of them, SH5 sucked hard...

Heavy Rain seems to be about exploration and quick time events.
For Quantic Dream to weave a cinematic experience focused on exploration at that amazing level of quality we've seen thus far for a game more than 5-6 hours seems daunting imo.
The amount of cutscenes they would have to create (for the multiple paths) and the detailed environments (they're stunning), character animations/sequences leaves me concerned over the length (also knowing that it's a single-player offline experience).
However, even if it was 5-6 hours, I would be fine with that. And again, the length is really my only concern for now.
