No Killzone 2 PS3 Bundles For U.S.
Last week, we learned of the very slick Killzone 2 PlayStation 3 bundle scheduled for Europe, and everyone hoped it would also arrive for North America. Heck, we just flat-out assumed it was coming.
Unfortunately, PS3Center has confirmed with SCEA that there are no current plans to bring a KZ2 PS3 hardware bundle to the U.S., and although that may disappoint consumers here, we imagine Euro gamers are having a little chuckle. Typically, Europe often misses out on the special stuff; this time, one of the most appealing hardware packages of the generation so far appears to be exclusive to Europe! We haven't seen the official details for that bundle, but we assume it comes with a copy of the game, a Dual Shock controller, and perhaps a special KZ2-themed PS3. The only silver lining of this report is that it's "subject to change" in the future, so it's possible that North America could receive a Killzone 2 bundle at a later date. Let's add this to the fact that "mainland Europe" gets Guerilla's masterpiece a couple days earlier (February 25), while the UK and US get it on February 27. So apparently, it seems to help that Guerilla is a European-based studio. And finally, finally, our buddies across the pond have a little something to brag about. Who ever heard of Americans being jealous of Europeans in this industry?
Well, what goes around comes around...or something like that. So you guys enjoy that bundle - even if it hasn't been officially announced yet - and we'll just play the role of the jealous gamer for the time being.

Being honest though, I think they'll be quicker with the price drop in the US where they seem to struggle more it makes most sense-not bundles. Also, I've got a friend who works for a rep of Nvidia and he says that all the estimates of how much it costs to make a PS3 are crazy out of date and he'd knock another 60 to 70 dollars off the $320 estimate doing the rounds currently. If that's true will Sony drop the price quicker or try to make more per sku for a while til the production cost becomes more well known?
Oh and anyone hoping for a FF13 bundle might have one hell of a wait!
