Resident Evil 5 Collectors Set: A Hardcore Fan Must
Okay, that's it. Pick up the marbles. Capcom wins the competition for the publisher that feeds its fans the most amount of extra stuff.
You've probably already seen the the Limited Edition Resident Evil 5 bundle, but here's a look at what you're going to get with the full Collectors package, as revealed by Joystiq: for what's actually a reasonable price of $90, you will receive a Chris Redfield figurine, a Tricell messenger bag, a BSAA patch, a bonus disc with a bunch of extra content, a special Kijuju necklace, and somewhere in that pile of goodies, the game itself. If any publisher has plans to release a Collectors or Limited edition of some kind for their game, here's what you need to do: swallow your pride and ask Capcom - very politely - how to create the best freakin' package ever. If anybody knows how to do it, it's Capcom. Factor in the preceding with the fact that PS3 and 360 owners will be getting different items, and we wouldn't be surprised to see gamers flocking to pick up this special bundle. RE5 will be big enough, but we know for a fact there are plenty of hardcore fans out there who need everything related to the long-running franchise. If that's the case, prepare to shell out the bucks...but you'll probably be more than satisfied.
Resident Evil 5 is slated to release on March 13, and we're all counting the days. It's a good time, too; we'll just be finishing up the Killzone 2 mania, and we can switch into full-on RE5 hype.

I'll still probably buy this game, But for an extra 30 bucks, I'll look into getting another greatest hits game instead of a messenger bag I won't use.

As others have said, $80 would be a more reasonable price tag.
The messenger bag and the bonus disc are what I find the most valuable, or at least, things I would enjoy/use rather than leave on my shelf to gather dust.

If anyone pays $90 for this, I don't even know what to say... to each his own I guess.
But, do you really need a bag? A patch? A necklace? A friggin figurine? Are you 12? lol
I admit the box art looks cool, but for $30 extra bones it should come with something you can actually put to use.
Of course there's people out there who like to collect things, for whatever reason, so I guess it'll have some sort of market. Don't get me wrong, I'm kind of in awe that Capcom is offering this frosting on the cake or whatever, I just wish it was more practical (yes I know you can put crap in a bag, but you have a PS3, shouldn't the bonus stuff be tech related?)
lol, end rant.

On the other hand, if you a hardcore fan of the series then go ahead, but I know I'm not spending 30 dollars extra on something like that (Only if it was a Metal Gear Solid game ^_^).
