Japan Gets Advent Children PlayStation 3 Bundle In April

Our hearts jumped a little when we saw the title at Kombo, but it's kinda misleading: "Final Fantasy VII PS3 Hitting In April." They probably did it just to generate a ton of traffic, but the reality is, they're only talking about "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children."

It's still very cool, though. This here is a picture of the Limited Edition FFVII:AC PS3. The console itself is called "Cloud Black" and as you can see, it comes specially ornamented with that white symbol. It will be shipped "individually numbered and packaged with a Blu-Ray version of 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete.'" Obviously, as this will only be available in Japan, it would makes sense that Sony promotes the Blu-Ray release of AC that just so happens to come with the Final Fantasy XIII demo. Oh, and let's not forget that the system in question is the massive 160GB PS3, so consumers certainly shouldn't feel shortchanged for their 49,980 yen (about $550), which they'll be able to drop on April 16 for this awesome bundle package featuring the Cloud Black PS3. Yeah, it's coming with the demo, and we know the demo won't break Japanese borders, so it's extremely unlikely that this bundle will show up in the U.S. (or anywhere else). But we figure it's okay to gawk at a tasty morsel we'll never get...even if it is slightly depressing.

Just don't go misinterpreting that headline; there are probably several other sources that didn't actually read the article, so weird rumors could be running rampant. Pay no attention; the dream of a Final Fantasy VII PS3 remake is dead.

Foresight into the industry is PSXE's strong suit, I don't think a remake will ever exist now either. Cloud Black looks neat, but I'd like to see a Sephiroth Silver :)

A FF7 remake would be nice but they should try to top it. Why live in the past, they should try to move forward with PS3. They won't be able to truly amaze us if they use the 360 with its hardware limitations.

Look at MGS4, KZ2 and Uncharted.

It dosen't mean you don appreciate the original, it means you appreciate the original so much that you want future generations to play it and appreciate the story and characters as much as you did, because honestly can you see one of our sons or daughter of the future going back and playing a PS1 game.......i think not lol :)

I fully appreciate the original and occasionally play through it, and don't see any reason why we could not have a remake, after all many newer gamers would buy it. well at least bring back the original to the ps store.

in respons to that, couldn't really care. bundles just annoy me now, coz i see better ones than the one i got all the time. but still think my bundle was aweome. 40gb, uncharted, sigma.

LOL that would be hilarious...I'm sure if Kojima gave more thought into the MGS4 bundle he would make a codec ring every time you power it on. Or make it yell out "I NEED SCISSORS 61!!!!!"

Too bad developers don't have that much passion. But...really NICE CONSOLE!!! I wish I lived in Japan, spoke Japanese...and yea. Just so I could get this. Come to think of it - doesn't Japan get the better end of everything Playstation??? Yep sure looks like it..

They (japanese) only get everything first when it comes to sony and nintendo. Screw them, they can have their japanese only console. It's really nice to know what japan really thinks about the non-japanese ps3 fanboy. We are nothing more than a after thought to those guys...
