New LittleBigPlanet Content Packs, Costumes Revealed

We've got some LittleBigPlanet updates for you, courtesy of PS3Fanboy, and the good news is that Media Molecule has no intention of slowing down. It's unfortunate that DLC is currently on hold for the European PlayStation Store, but that brief hiatus ends next week.

And for more great stuff, continue to check the Store between January 26 and February 19 as a horde of new costumes will each become available on a weekly basis. This new content will reflect holidays and familiar titles, as they've done in the past. Check 'em out:

  • January 26th -- Chinese New Year costumes (free, available for 10 days only)
  • January 29th -- Groundhog Day costume (available one week only), God of War mini pack, Kratos costume
  • February 5th -- Valentines Day mini pack (available for 2 weeks only)
  • February 12th -- Ape Escape costume, Toro costume
  • February 19th -- Wipeout costume kit

Unfortunately, we don't yet have prices and dates for the North American PSN so for now, only European PS3 owners can revel in this new information. There's no doubt that LittleBigPlanet is a game that can greatly benefit from new content, and from what we've seen so far, the developers keep pumping out the fresh stuff. For those of you with keen creative minds, you must be in constant need of extra content to toy around with.

Sounds good. I just got this game 2 days ago, and its way better than I expected. I didn't think the whole customization thing would thrill me too much, but I'm loving it so far. Also, I haven't even toyed with the level creation.

That's the state of LBP. It's a masterpiece that should and would become a worldwide phenomenon if people knew how much fun they would have with this game. What you just said is a common reaction from everyone who tries it.

Partially Sony's fault for not advertising it the right way.

As usual I'll grab the free costumes and leave the rest. All the pay costumes and level packs almost amount to the same cost as a whole seperate game!

I really love these costumes, makes the experience that much more flavorful!!! :D

Anyone else got the StreetFighter pack? Hah! That one's the best.

From this one I'm really like the Chinese guy/girl. Also like that fluffy rat :D
