Polish Magazine "PSX Extreme" Killzone 2 Review: It's Not Us
Killzone 2Okay, it's true. I'm Polish. My grandfather speaks Polish. But although the Polish magazine "PSX Extreme" and this grand ol' site here has the same name, we're not affiliated in any way.
The review has popped up on the Internet and is dragging in a lot of attention, primarily because it's one of the first "official" reviews to be found. Thing is, we - like all the other sources - are waiting for the strict embargo date to lift, and that's still a couple weeks off. Yes, we have the game; we've had it for a while now, which means we've been playing it for a while. But we follow the rules in question, and although it appears that print magazines can bend those rules a bit, we'd rather stick to the guidelines. For the record, several reviews for Killzone 2 have been found (or at least alluded to) over the past couple of weeks, and not surprisingly, all of them are overwhelmingly positive. We'll ignore the Maxim review everyone is talking about, just 'cuz we typically ignore Maxim for anything game-related in the first place. Entertainment magazines or online publications that were not initially built around games tend to have "epic fail" reviews, and that's sometimes because the publications "ported" over a sports writer or something when they started covering games.
Anywho, we just wanted to step up and clarify that the "PSX Extreme" review you see floating around the Internet has absolutely nothing to do with us. Nope, PSX Extreme, the site that turns 10 years old this year (yep, 10) has not issued their Killzone 2 review yet. We haven't, because we've been told not to. So. There ya go.

BTW
PSEXTREME gave it 9+/10 which is basically 9.5/10

LMAO, Went to google, typed in "Maxi Killzone Review", saw a XboxFanboy sit little down, clicked it, "I knew Killozne 2 sucked" Iol'd real hard =)
Anywayz, I've yet to hear of this other "PSX Extreme" review so I guess it's not too important...

Maxim is now receiving major traffic and if you google them with killzone you get over 66,000 results.
Now people that never gave 2 sh**s about their magazine are posting hits on their site just to rage out over the review.
Either they knew exactly what they were doing scoring Fity Cent higher, or they are obviously out of all touch with any sort of reality and are run by a poorly trained orangutan in a diaper.
My bet is on the fact that this was intentional to draw attention but I could be wrong and there is actually a big orange monkey running the show there.

PSX Extreme (Poland) Killzone 2 Review
Pros:
- huge amount of solid shooting
- performance
- beautiful,dirty atmosphere
- plot/story
- whole universe
- multiplayer
Cons:
- no co-op
- sometimes not natural scripts
- mediocre AI
Overall:
PS3 finally has got his own Halo and Gears combined
Score: 9+/10

Seems this generation if something doesn't break out of the norm then it immediately falls into this mediocre category. I imagine, and this is pure speculation here, that the AI is no worse than your other FPS's out there and they are knocking it because they don't really have anything else to gripe about to give them 3 cons

I got a GIF on myspace page showing the user throwing a gernade and the Helghast soldier doing a barrel roll to avoid it. The A.I will do everything it can to survive or take you out with him.
As for your squad....It's always going to be dummied down. How would you feel being out performed by your squadmates? This in my opinion is the best FPS since Goldeneye.
Hands down.
...and for the record,I think that the Cerebral Bore (Turok 2) is the best weapon ever invented for a vid game.

I dont see how the A.I. could be considered anything but fantastic, but what LCF says makes sense.
