PlayStation Home Cafe Revealed
PlayStation Home has already grown considerably since its open beta roll-out late last year. We're still waiting on a few additions, but there's already more to do and see than in the first week of the ambitious application's existence. And now, another one is on the way, although we don't have an official announcement or date just yet.
It's the PlayStation Home Cafe, and you can see the screenshot gallery at PS3Fanboy; the pics first showed up at the official PlayStation forums. As you can see, this is an entirely new Space and while it's obviously empty (no virtual bodies can inhabit a space that doesn't even exist in virtual land yet!), we're sure plenty of Home users will want to check it out. We have no idea what this place will feature, but we have to assume it'll be something more besides tables, chairs and food. ...really, the idea of eating virtual food on a video screen only makes us hungry for real food, and will probably force us to put down the controller and turn off the PS3. But there are all sorts of possibilities, and we expect Sony to make the Cafe just as robust as other Home spaces. It's already available on the Asian Home, by the way, so its appearance in North America may be inevitable. More game-themed spaces should be coming soon as well, and of course, we can always use more decorations, clothes and Estates. We'll all become master interior decorators at some point, here.
And just as a reminder, we will always say "open beta" although it's quite possible that Home will remain in this stage forever. Basically, it's just so Sony can continue to alter and add; rather than saying Home is "finalized" and then moving on to update it to Home v1.2 or whatever (we'd end up with Home v37.51 or something). It's just simpler.

I'm thinking since it IS Chinese/Vietnamese New Years this weekend and plus they wanted originality, it should be named "Cafe Eja" (Cafe Asia).
Since they said they are "bringing the Café over from the Asian version of PlayStation®Home" it should keep some of its background and honor the Chinese/Vietnamese New Years Festival.
You guys should go read some of the suggestions, i mean i know its a cafe but i dont think it has anything to do with coffee or expresso. plus some of the suggestions lack originality and trademark infringement would be an issue. doenst anyone have any originality or imagination?
my suggestion is "Cafe Eja"
anyone agree? =)
Happy Chinese/Vietnamese New Years everyone!

Anytime i wanna socialize, make new friends i just enter Home, the next minute i have 5 more friends added,so easy.
Even though i have the 360 headphones,i barely use it cause ma account expired, how lame.I don't have a ps3 headset though, but making friends is easy thanks to home.
Home puts all kinds of ps3 users in a place and as to who you want to befriend is up to you but with NXE/LIVE,you make friends with only the people you play with in a game.
OFF TOPIC: I just watched my brother finish PoP as it wasn't impressive from the start thus i couldn't hold on to it,i was busy playing GeoW2.Everything came to an end after defeating Elika's dad,and wat's next....we were left hanging. My bro was like "HUH??....is that all, this game has no meaning".
Am forced to believe Eurogamer's 6/10 score for PoP is absolutely RIGHT!!!!

Speaking of which, I think that Home lives or dies based less on the spaces it provides, but rather on the activities it enables. Sure, mingling is cool, but sometimes I go there just to engage in mini-games like Pool, Bowling, or flying the planes. Here's hoping they keep adding new and improved mini-games. Also, aside from echochrome, the rest of Home's arcade games are lame and should be changed out. Just my 2 cents, though...
