Guitar Hero: Metallica Track List, Additional Artists Revealed

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was certainly a big success and when it was first announced, we knew there'd be more band-themed installments on the way, and it's no surprise that Metallica is next on the list.

Being fans of the legendary metal bands ourselves, we've been waiting to see the full soundtrack list for the upcoming title, and now it has arrived. We could've expected most of these, but it's always good to see all the tracks. Check 'em out:

  • All Nightmare Long
  • Battery
  • Creeping Death
  • Disposable Heroes
  • Dyers Eve
  • Enter Sandman
  • Fade To Black
  • Fight Fire With Fire
  • For Whom The Bell Tolls
  • Frantic
  • Fuel
  • Hit The Lights
  • King Nothing
  • Master of Puppets
  • Mercyful Fate (Medley)
  • No Leaf Clover
  • Nothing Else Matters
  • One
  • Orion
  • Sad But True
  • Seek And Destroy
  • The Memory Remains
  • The Shortest Straw
  • The Thing That Should Not Be
  • The Unforgiven
  • Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
  • Wherever I May Roam
  • Whiplash

And of course, it'd be a colossal mistake to assume there will only be Metallica songs in this game; that certainly wasn't the case with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. So they've also released the list of additional artists that will be featured in Metallica, and all kinds of great bands are on the playbill: Judas Priest, Queen, Motorhead, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Slayer, and more! For the full layout of tracks and bands included in the game, check out Metallica.com.

Darn they don't have Four Horsemen... but I like every other song :D

However I don't think I'll be picking this one up... I play music games often but only with my little brother who only likes drums since he actually plays em... unless of course this has drums in it?

Yes, it has drums, and a new drum mode called Expert+ where you can attach a second bass pedal and you have to use that.

Oh wow that changes everything... I might get this guy if the second bass drum can work with RB2 drum set... you definitely need that second one too

Im actually glad they didnt include four horsemen, as its just a slower version of Mechanix. I am, however, pleased to see shortest straw. Thats one of my favs.

You cannot use the rb drums because it doesn't have the port for the second kick drum. you have to use the GH:WT drum set. You may be able to use the rb drums, but you will need a stereo to dual stereo y jack. but it wont have the same effect. so no, you can't use them. WT drums are the only ones that have the second input jack for the second pedel.

Damn, that is a BadASS track list. I've never played Guitar Hero (I have the real thing) and I might pick this bad boy up. These guys are why I started playing. Hopefully they can get back to their roots though..

Dyers Eve was my song back in the day!!!

I was not really excited about GH:world tour, but I cant wait to get my hands on this game. It will be epic.

They are putting some long songs on there. Orion and Mercyful fate will take about a half hour combined to play

Still want to know why you come here if you don't have a PS3 and don't have any interest in getting one.

He's blind? Well then I must be blind because I don't know either. However, you're obviously welcome here. Just cause you don't have one it doesn't mean you can't stay updated on news.

The Day That Never Comes? That's the second worst one on the cd! All Nightmare Long is by far the best.

Excellent track list. Especially since it includes System's Toxicity and The Sword's Black River in addition to the Metallica wonderment. And Ace of Spades, and Judas Priest......oh, i think i need a cold shower after reading that track list.

I don't get why there are so few songs. They've made like 97 or so original songs but yet they only have 27 represented here. As many songs as GH and RB have in their games, you'd think they could've added more to this. Guess this means we'll have to buy expansions with more of their songs to add to it. And where's Call of Ktulu? lol

Call of Ktulu and Leper Messiah. I also don't get my harvester of sorrow isn't there. That's my biggest complaint....
