Clarification: Killzone 2 Review Emargo Lifts On February 2
The long wait is almost over, but it's not going to end quite as soon as some may have hoped.
Erroneous reports have surfaced around the Internet that said the review embargo for Killzone 2 is January 29, but that's not accurate. From the start, the embargo date has been February 2, and that hasn't changed. Some people were willing to believe the 29th date because the game may ship to mainland Europe on February 25, which is two days sooner than the North American launch of February 27. Hence, it might be logical to assume that a two-day difference would also apply to the embargo, but this really isn't the case. No legitimate online video game publication should be posting their Killzone 2 review before Monday, and that's that. The good news is that these reviews will really flood in once midnight of the 2nd rolls around; many sources have had the game for quite a while, and they're just itching to post up their analysis. We're one of those sources, and while we certainly won't give anything away in terms of the overall score, we will say it's gonna be high. ...as if that's any sort of staggering revelation.
Anyway, we just wanted to clarify; the questions of "where's your KZ2 review?!" might start to pop up in the Comments section, but just don't believe that January 29 nonsense. It's Monday, February 2, and that's the day when you can officially begin to salivate for the most anticipated game of the year.

I hope Killzone 2 will be a bit more challenging (but not as tedious as COD5 Veteran and Mega Man 9) and have the same kind community xD
Which I'm sure it'll have.
Even the first couple levels on Superhuman were easier than the first play through (though it's just going through the same old).

It was also prove that multi plat releases (in general) are poor in comparison to developing and optimising a game on a target platform..
Afte Killzone 2 the COD game series will never be the same... let me tell you.
Let me also tell you that game companies making future shooters will have to pull up their socks and do something incredible... otherwise... get ready for alot more HAAAAZZZEEEE!!!
I know... I was in the Beta for a month!!!
Finally if the Xbots criticise to the point whereby they are factually and obviously DELUDING themselves... then welcome to SinCity guys... they are simply and "truthfully" not being honest in the slightest... to themselves and the wider world...
Q!

Hey guys, today a question occurred to me that I'd like some input on:
If KZ2 is as good as they say, could that jeopardize the sales of follow-on muliplatform FPS titles, thus adversely affecting the future development of shooters for the PS3?
Case in point: when COD 4 came out, it so eclipsed the quality of other shooters that I didn't purchase another shooter until COD: WaW came out. I know I'm not alone here. However, I purchased numerous titles in other genres during the same time-frame. See the trend here? Imagine how long we might wait before anyone raises the shooter bar again--it could be years. Where will the PS3 FPS market be then?
Your thoughts?

Great news really. REALLY GOOD NEWS. And also considering Gamepro rated it a 10/10...and Eurogamer who rated MGS 4 an 8/10 gave KZ2 a 9/10 - must mean it's pretty good. Anyway, those guys who have a PS3 and actually pre-ordered this...ENJOY!! You still have like 3-4 weeks to go though lol.

The argument that the game isnt doing something new and original is always used to suck one or half a point off from PS3 games score.
In the end of the day, I purchased my PS3 this early in the year because I wanted to be ready for KZ2. I knew it was bound to be an awesome game.
