Will DLC For White Knight Be Included In North American Release?

White Knight Chronicles is one of the most anticipated PlayStation 3 titles so far this generation...even if the only people "anticipating" it are hardcore role-playing fans.

Anyway, it seems the first batch of extra content will be hitting the Japanese PlayStation Store tomorrow, which kinda gives North American gamers a preview of things to come. According to GameCenterOnline, this new pack, entitled "Futatsu no Hgeki," will add more in the way of online content, and it's recommended for players between Levels 9 and 46. ...er, that's an awfully wide gap, so does that mean just about anyone can play it? The good news is that this pack will supposedly be completely free, so of course, North American gamers are hoping for the same treatment when WKC finally arrives over here. However, this announcement of fresh new content for the game - which just released on December 25 in Japan - leads to an important question: considering the large gap between the Japanese and NA launch dates, might we expect some of this extra content to be included in the game when it hits stateside? If a game comes much later to another platform, for example, it will often include all the downloadable extras that became available during the release gap. Remember Bioshock?

Level 5 may do this with White Knight. Therefore, despite the wait, might we be able to assume that North American gamers will get a more robust version of the game, complete with any current DLC? It's not a bad idea!

Gonna have to say no on that one, most DLC is coded for individual regions so you're not supposed to be able to use them for different places, blah blah yadda yadda, something like that. but then again I've never tested it out so..

I have only had a few experiences with DLC from Japan on my NA games and it is about 50/50 even on the same game. I downloaded some LBP costumes and some worked while others did not. Though I did find that the costumes that did not work eventually came over here anyway.

I can't wait for this game, has anyone heard of NA release date? and it would be cool if when we get the game that the content would be free, we always have to pay for extra stuff, and at prices that arent' worth it.

Level 5 has yet to disappoint me (unlike somebody else I know) so I'll go with a yes on inclusion. However if this story isn't followed up I'll probably never know whether or not it's on the disc ya know? I need more RPGs, Fallout 3 is done except I might go back and do sidequests, and I finished Eternal Sonata. I did miss Shadow Hearts 2 on PS2 so I might hafta pick it up to tide me over, can anyone reccommend it? I loved the first, wasn't that into the third though. I'm even contemplating a FFVII replay at this point. I swear RPGs are like crack.

And I'd still like to get a few of these from you busy Ben: What RPGs taught me about the world!

Which Shadow Hearts? Covenant or From the New World?

I'd recommend either (they're two of my favorite RPGs), but Covenant is a little better in terms of story and characters.

I loved all three but Covenant was my favorite, then closely followed by 1. Be sure to get it! If you've enjoyed SH1&3 then I'm sure you'll enjoy the 2nd as well!

I am still rooting enormously on the WKC, one of my most anticipated still, never changed cuz the rumor. I pick games according to wut I feel, not solely based on wut I heard or some reviews.
