Famitsu Details Street Fighter IV Downloadable Content
Street Fighter IV is only two short weeks away, and it's time to talk about the extras and downloadable content the fans can expect.
Thanks to the most recent edition of Famitsu, we have new details on acquiring some of the awesome character costumes that are exclusive to the home console version of the game. Some costumes will only be available in the form of paid downloadable content; in Japan, Capcom plans to release five costume packs (one pack per week), and the first will arrive on the Japanese launch date of February 12. Afterwards, Capcom will toss up a combo pack that features all 25 costumes at a lower price: 1,200 yen (about $13.44) for the PlayStation 3 and 1,000 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360. However, if you're not so keen on the idea of paying more money, you can look forward to some free stuff. A new update, called "Championship Mode," will release for SFIV a little while after the game's launch, and the mode boasts tournament-style network play. Capcom always offers plenty of goodies for its big software releases, and they tend to cover the entire spectrum, from free to paid downloadable content.
Of course, you don't have to go online at all to unlock new stuff when playing the game. Like most fighters, you'll have the opportunity to open up new characters and character colors. At the start, you will have 16 players to choose from, but you can work to unlock the 9 remaining characters...and you know you will.

What do you suppose these alternate costumes will look like? I mean... how much will they deviate from the iconic costumes we are all used to? What else could Ryu wear other than the white gi? Or what would M. Bison wear, for that matter?
Man, I need this game now. Haven't been this into Street Fighter since I was a little kid.
