Sega Teams With Rebellion For New Aliens vs. Predator Title
It was one of the few games on the Jaguar that everyone wanted to play and since then, there have been multiple installments in the long-running series. But Sega wants to get back to square one, use the same name, and present a next-gen entry to an all-new audience.
Announced at a Sega press event in London today, prepare to welcome Aliens vs. Predator (only a working title, but you get the gist), which marks the triumphant return of developer Rebellion. A decade ago, they created a game with this same title; a game Sega is now calling "a legendary title that went on to define an entire generation of multiplayer gaming." Details on this new project are a little hazy, but from what we can gather, it's definitely part of the Aliens and AvP series of games. Furthermore, Sega has "adjusted" the release of any other titles in the Aliens franchise to allow the team to focus heavily on this new AvP. Said CEO of Sega West, Naoya Tsurumi:
"By adjusting the release of our other Aliens titles to accommodate [Aliens vs. Predator], SEGA will ensure that every title lives up to the high expectations of Aliens and AvP fans."
Okay, so now all we're waiting on is an official announcement, so we can have an actual title and some early concrete details. Rebellion should be able to provide gamers with the good ol' AvP entertainment they've been missing for quite a while, and yes, we're assuming it's coming to multiple platforms. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

still don't know what was more epic the first level as a marine where you got swarmed by aliens after coming out of their hive and you had to make it to your exit before being devistated or sneaking around as the facehugger trying to find a host

3 games in one, like you say.. marine? crapping yourself or a cloaked Pred spearing people? or a facehugger looking for a host... damn good game.
I hope they make it a new story rather than a straight port of AvP1.. because AvP2 was so much better.
