Wanted: Weapons Of Fate Demo Arrives On PSN In March
You know, "Wanted" really is one of those movies where people will say, "if someone put some effort into a game...it could be totally bad-ass." We've had bullet-time for a while now, but have we ever curved bullets in games before?
Perhaps it's even more incentive to tell you that Wanted: Weapons of Fate actually acts as a sequel to last year's blockbuster action flick. This means you won't be following the same story; Wesley Gibson departs on a whole new adventure. Unfortunately, this also means a naked Angelina Jolie probably won't be featured in the game (for those who saw the movie, you know why), but hey, them's the breaks. Anyway, if you're on the fence about this one - and really, who isn't? - you'll be able to check out a playable demo on the PSN on March 5. If you bought F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and glanced at the back, you would've seen this, which clearly shows the demo date. For the most part, we're always leery about games based on movies, but 2008 was an interesting year. We did have a few solid productions, like Kung Fu Panda and The Bourne Conspiracy; they weren't amazing, but they were a damn sight better than what we've had in the past. Therefore, with the right team behind a game like Wanted, we might actually get a film-based title that's actually worth our time.
But, we'll have to play the demo before we can arrive at any further conclusions. Demos are starting to become a matter of course in this new generation and to be honest, it's one of our most favorite additions to the gaming world.

The movie did not have nearly enough substance or use of any philosophy (no, the idea of acquiring targets through knots in string does not count, and is, quite frankly, preposterous! :p) to be a new matrix. Hell not even Reloaded or Revolutions managed to be a 'new matrix' as they seemed to veer off the point occasionally. Original is a classic though.
