DICE Announces Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Last year, Swedish developer DICE really came into their own, as both Battlefield: Bad Company and Mirror's Edge turned out to be excellent and entertaining productions. Some of you are clamoring for a sequel to the latter, but while you wait, how's about a sequel to the former?
As you can see by this official announcement, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is in the works. A direct follow-up to the original, you can expect more in the way of slam-bang FPS action and that great Bad Company panache. You will be able to utilize many different weapons and vehicles, and according to that announcement, it appears we'll have even more in the way of "vehicular warfare." While the FPS genre has quickly become one of the most competitive categories in the video game world, especially with the imminent release of Killzone 2, we have complete faith in this developer. We didn't really give the original Bad Company much credit before it released, and it turned out to be one of the year's best. And if you give DICE enough time to clean up and iron out a few of the kinks, a sequel could be yet another awesome title. As for Mirror's Edge 2, there has been no announcement, and we figure DICE is putting all their emphasis on producing the Battlefield sequel.
So as of now, we'll start scanning around for new details and media concerning Bad Company 2, and hopefully, we'll see an estimated release date before too long. It's very possible that it could arrive in time for the 2009 holiday season...

Great story, fun gameplay and really good looking presentation. OH and some of the best weapon sounds out there.
I'll keep my eye on this one. But for now we will have KZ2.

haggard and his freakin truckasoarus.
also one of the most fun FPS games ive played in awhile.
it felt good to play, and blowing things up has never sounded/felt so good in any FPS ever.
