Yakuza 3 Demo Hits Japanese PSN
Sega may not be the video game powerhouse they once were, but that doesn't mean they can't continue to contribute.
We may all have to admit that Sonic's glory days are in the past, but last year's Valkyria Chronicles and the ongoing Yakuza franchise proves that Sega still has some talent and moxy. In North America, we only recently received Yakuza 2, but the third installment is already descending upon the Land of the Rising Sun. If you want an idea of what you're missing - and that very high Famitsu score may make you jealous - it may be time to create a Japanese account for the PSN. Not that we condone such behavior, but hey, sometimes you do what you gotta do to get your hands on a hot demo. Sega has put a large 1256MB demo of Yakuza 3 on the Japanese PSN, and it's the closest you'll get to the full game for a long time. While we do expect the title to eventually arrive on our shores, each installment thus far has been almost a year behind the Japan launch, so... If you've never played one of these games, it might be well worth your while to sample the demo.
Remember, the first two titles have boasted good stories and plenty of brutal in-your-face action, coupled with a sandbox-style setting. If this sounds entertaining, step into the capable shoes of bad-ass Kazuma Kiryu.
