FFVII: AC Blu-Ray Compatible With NA PS3s, English Voices Included
Okay, Final Fantasy fans, clarification time.
As most of you already know, the Blu-Ray version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children releases in April in Japan, and it'll feature an extra 25 minutes of new scenes plus all-new cinematography. It will also ship with a playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII, which was the biggest part of this announcement at E3 last year. But some of you have asked whether or not this Japanese release will have English voices, and if it will even play on North American PS3s. Well, Siliconera and FinalFantasyXIII.net have provided the answer: it's "yes" to both questions. As an additional note of intrigue, Blu-Ray region coding isn't the same as DVD; while the latter has 6 different regions, Blu-Ray only has A, B, and C. The good news is that both North America and Japan fall under the "A" classification, so all Blu-Ray discs released in either region will play in the other region, too. Therefore, if you do plan on importing this bad boy, don't you be concerned about any of this; everything will all work out just fine. ...even if you do hate Square-Enix.
Personally, I'm honestly considering an import. I have the movie on DVD, of course, but the idea of this CGI masterpiece on Blu-Ray...well, it kinda gives me chills.

"What has confused fans debating importing it is whether or not the Japanese version of the movie will have English voices, and if it'll even play on North American PS3s. The answer is yes to both. As noted in the Siliconera report, the voice actor for Rufus Shina posted on his blog mid-December that he was called back to the studio to redo some lines as Rufus, as well as some new lines for the additional scenes."
The MOVIE will have English dubs, not the DEMO.

Pixar hold the title for most advanced CGI movies to date. Pixar has done alot of innovation to the CG industry and even to video games.
I perfer the "High Definition" Animation style tho, like Vexille and Appleseed: Ex machina.
I too have Advent on DVD. I've been waiting a long time for the Blu-ray release.
Now I just wish Pixar would do the same with the rest of their film catalog. WALL-E is stunning in HD.

okay okay. i dont HATE it persay. but i think it looks better when they dont use it. animes like the Gundam, and Gasaraki series look awesome.
best way for me to explain my feelings about it, is that i think it looks "out of place".
but thats just me. everyone is different.

I won't pay for this garbage
Never even cared 'bout this spinoff movie either
I'd rather spend my money on real games like Killzone 2!!! Bring it on!
Demo? lol as if the game is coming anytime soon.
Late 2010 for the US.
