UK Player Sets World Record For Consecutive Wins In SFIV
By now, most of you have realized that Street Fighter IV is a definite challenge. In fact, the final boss might frustrate you to the point of smashing valuable pieces of equipment, which means you may be impressed to learn of the latest gaming world record.
According to UK site Electronic Theatre, the UK's best SFIV player has officially entered the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition for consecutive wins. His name is Zak Bennett, and although he only made it to 28 wins in a row on his first attempt, he set the record on his second attempt: 108 consecutive unbeaten matches. The world record was set on Friday in London, and Guinness World Records representatives were on hand to witness the event; Bennett's feat will appear in next year's Guinness Gamer's Edition. And if you're wondering, no, Bennett wasn't playing computer-controlled players; he was fighting human contestants. Said Editor-in-Chief of Guiness World Records, Craig Glenday-
"We congratulate Zak on his extraordinary achievement and welcome him into the Guinness World Records family. It's always great to see gamers showcase their talent while making a mark in the record books."
So, how many consecutive wins can you score? And you're not allowed to count beating your four-year-old brother five hundred times in a row, either. For my part, considering I'm downright awful at fighting games, this record just seems incomprehensible to me. My biggest fighting feat was pulling off a couple 7-hit combos in Mortal Kombat: Trilogy...

If you look at the Guinness World Records its full of uninteresting world records like, the record for the amount of worms stuck up your nose (I don't know where that came from?)
I bet its a publicity stunt to get an interest from people. They got someone good and they set up opponents who have never played a fighting game before. He probably got bored after 108 wins. I bet he can't do this online with much better opponents?
If this Zak has played against good players then that is a fabulous record and I can't see it beaten.

That being said, I'm with you on the limited move list. It feels... natural... and I don't mind a bit, but I always loved all the tons of moves and insane super combos you could do in SF Alpha 3. =)
Also... they really need to bring back World Tour Mode.

Seth robbed all the other characters moves, if you dont move soon as he starts he uses Dhalsim's arm stretch technique. You beat him first go 2nd round he starts teleporting and then does Zangief's moves, him and Zangief were the hardest to beat everyone else was relatively easy. Anyhow it is gone from my collection now.
