Amsterdam Couldn't Handle Killzone 2
This is just one of those news reports where one goes, "huh...that's amusing."
As everybody on the planet - including those inhabiting the most remote village in the Amazon jungle - knows, Killzone 2 releases this week for the PlayStation 3. You can probably guess that it's one of the loudest, most intense gaming experiences of the generation so far, but did you realize just how much elecrtical power it takes to develop? According to Kotaku, Amsterdam's power supply just couldn't handle Guerilla's development of the hotly anticipated shooter. As the team closed in on their goal and upped their staff from 45 employees to about 200, they started sucking a whole lot of energy out of the old power system in the city. To compensate for the lacking, Sony ponied up the cash for a diesel generator, just so the team wouldn't deprive their neighbors of the electricity required to heat their water. Of course, Kotaku couldn't help but make the jab- "Which was lucky for us, otherwise we'd be left with a game that looked so dark it was developed with the lights out and...oh." But then again, it's Kotaku. It's what they do. Well, so far as the PS3 is concerned, anyway. Too bad it's not coming to the Wii, right guys?
Anyway, we just figured you'd like to know. In order to use massive computing power, one must utilize massive amounts of electrical power, and that's exactly what Guerilla did...nearly broke a city's energy supply to do it it, but hey, it was worth it.

LOL!
I love that most Americans can't name three countries in Europe but we get pissed when Europeans think that we are all stupid and lazy. It might not be true but God do we put the best of us out there to be our face to the world

Well, sir, whether you believe it or not is completely irrelevant. It's true. I've read at least two stories of people playing MMORPGs without sleep until they dropped dead. But, scientists have failed to find a toxicity limit for mushrooms in humans.
And mushrooms do not harm you. See, you've been told all of your life that "drugs are bad." Oddly enough, the same people who told you that drugs are bad, and to "Just say no," also told you that cigarettes are okay if you're over 18 and alcohol is okay if you're over 21. If I said that I smoked would you ask what's wrong with me? If I said I walked into a bar and bought a drink, would you ask what's wrong with me? And there's no disputing what cigarettes and alcohol do to your body. The worst you could say about mushrooms is they could aggrivate a pre-existing condition. But, they aren't harmful in and of themselves.
Anywayz, do your research and know exactly what you're saying, be versed on the subject before you question me on the choices I make, especially if you're going to bring my child into it. Just spouting off what "Officer Friendly" told you when you were in 5th grade isn't the way to debate or discuss anything intelligently.

If i pluged 10 kettles in to an extension lead, then pluged it in to 1 socket in my kitchen. Everything in the house is gona cut out.
Its not as if the local power station cant handle it.
Wooooooo, those kettles are well powerfull ;-)
They just exceeded the power supply for the building and needed a bit extra.
Lol, reminds me of that griswalds christmas film, when they had to switch to auxilary power in the power station after he smacked on the chrimbo lights.
dont change the fact that i just cant wait for this dam game though ;-)

The only reason Shrooms aren't legal is because they can't tax it. Tar, monoxide and other ingredients do alot more damage to you're body anyway.

But its people like you that make me hate know it alls. Just why the hell do you think cigarettes are legal? How hard is it to find the ingredients to make one? My point is, its hard, if not impossible for an everyday person to make, or grow a cigarette.
Thats the reason cigarettes are legal. A Corporation or Government can manufacture them because it will be next to impossible to find one from a drug dealer. So to me, they are addictive and deadly just like angel dust, crack rocks and cocaine. They may not be as deadly, as fast as the "hardcore" illegal drugs, but they do end up shortening your life in the long run.
Now tell me why weed, a next to harmless PLANT (I refuse to call it a drug) is illegal? Is it because it grows naturally in the wild? And like Katt Williams said, if you so just happen to set it on fire, there are some "effects". These effects are:
1. happy
2. hungry
3. sleepy
Now the indians used to smoke weed (peace pipe anyone) well before most people made it illegal. You can smoke a blunt a day and almost no abnormalities will occur. More than I can say for cigarettes. Have you ever heard of a person dying from smoking weed? I sure as hell haven't.
So the government can make an item that contains the following:
hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, tar, nitrogen oxide, nicotine, and ammonia. (plus over 599 other chemicals.)
And what deadly chemicals does marijuana have? smokable buds? Get a grip Vertigo, you are indirectly involved in the mass killing off stupid consumers who buy and use cigarettes regularly, by supporting the selling of them. What the hell is tax increases gonna solve? People who are addicted to them will shell out for them never-the-less. And if that happens, they are no worse than drug dealers who raise prices to junkies addicted to their stash.
Are the adverse effects of shroomss as bad as, or worse than cigarettes? Hell no. Should I list the symptoms of shrooms also? You obviously payed too much attention in D.A.R.E class in school man. Since you can readily find weed anywhere, it would be pointless to tax it. If people choose to used substances that temporarily make them stupid (much like alchol), why should the government stop them?
Hell why does the government allow base-jumping or sky diving? Those are hazardous to you're health. Guess we have to do away with those to huh? Oh and about that soda comment; you want a fact, I'll give you one:
Fact 1. The McDonald's incident. A man goes to Micky D's everyday for a month (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and experienced numerous complication with his health.
Fact 2. Drink overdose, read this site for more info. http://ecmpostreview.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2289&Itemid=1
If anything, YOU looked childish by thinking that YOUR comment was right. If you didn't agree with what Troy said, you should have skipped over the comment.
