Killzone 2 Trophy List Revealed

Ah yes, the Killzone 2 Trophy Guide. How can you be without it? You probably already have the game, and in order to get the full KZ2 experience, you're gonna need to try for these Trophies, right?

As usual, some are easy, as many will even come automatically as you progress in the storyline; you'll get a Trophy for completing any level on any difficulty, for example. Then there are the tricker ones, like the Untouchable Silver Trophy, which means you have to complete all the missions on any difficulty without dying. Then there are the online-related Trophies, which sound like they'll take some time: there's the Career Ribbon Gold Trophy, which means you have to attain the rank of General (2800EXP required), and there's the Valor Grand Cross Gold Trophy, which is only awarded if you can manage to rank in the top 1% of all online players in a full week...yeah, that sounds as if it could be a touch challenging. We might find it intriguing to try for the Blade Runner Bronze Trophy, which means you have to kill 75 Helghast foes with the knife. There are all kinds of Trophies to score, as you might expect, and it's going to take a whole lot of practice and a whole lot of time to nail that Platinum Trophy. In all games, the Platinum is only awarded if you get all the other Trophies. Good luck with that.

As if we had to tell you, Killzone 2 is now available for purchase in stores nationwide. Some may be sold out, of course, but we imagine plenty of you had the game on pre-order and picked it up yesterday. If not, keep looking...it's well worth the effort.

Yeah a few of those trophies are damn near imposible to get II gotta go back and kill heavy within a minute that's a trophy II missed and II just notice that.

yeah I got the heavy and the arctrooper trophies first shot, they seemed easy.
The ATAC one is bloody hard and I'm up to the last level and haven't fought the final boss

It's gonna be so hard to get the platinum if you have to get within 1% of the weeks top players. Like that's insane, so many people are gonna have this game, not very many people will ever get that trophy. I'm not gonna even bother trying for that one.

Yeah, I dont think that top 1% trophy is fair. Since the peeps that play the game ALL the time will get in that 1% while the casual/average gamer doesnt have a chance. It should be based on a Kill/Death/Time ratio, more like an average score.

I'm trying to get it.
If I can get in first place on my team almost every time I think I can get a simple trophy like getting the top 1%.

I've been in the top 20 in other online games, like Halo 3 and COD: WaW on the 360. And Team Fortress 2 I was number one for over 1 month, but I stopped playing it as I saw the game on my PC, and I stated to notice how many bugs there are.
I tried to get to number 1 on TF2 for 360, but no body ever plays ranked matches. :(

This list has been out for over a month...not exactly revealed or news but thats ok.

I think its crazy that Guerilla has decided that only 1% of the people playing this game will be able to get a platinum...thats a helluva ot of work to get it.

hey ben been realistic the game is cool and all but the best thing it has going for its the graphics it makes me mad to hear that this game is already selling games like Resistance which its maybes sony fault but R2 has a way better game play mechanics and even call duty but atleast its better than socom hope to hear ur response on my thoughts if u agree or not

I disagree. So far, I'd say R2 had a better story (but I haven't finished K2 yet), and R2 has co-op. Other than that, it's all Killzone. Better graphics, better gameplay, better online, better class system, more gameplay modes.

more games modes better classes yes but im talking about the aiming of kill zone 2, infinite ammo for the hand gun wtf? are u serious, next genration game and u cant go prone, yea R2 cant but seriioulsy that faster game and how would a chimera look going prone funny lol, K2 was a sci fi game but made to be realistic, but COD can go prone and K2 cant, plus u cant custom the controls, and one ? havent notice but can u throw back grenades b4 they explode sorry 4 seeming to bash on the game but im just sayin its a good game could of been beast if they fixed simple things and hopefully they do add co op and vehicles online since they took them off and thinking of adding them again

I dunno. Seems like your beefs with the game are pretty minor. Can't lie down, can't throw back grenades, can't customize controls. But, I can see if you're used to playing CoD a whole lot and you've become accustomed to those things that you'd miss them. But, I don't think not having those things makes the game any worse. Those are CoD features, not Killzone features. But, I say, if those features have become so important to your game, then sell your copy of KZ2 and stick to CoD. And I'm not saying that to be a smart-ass. But, it does sound like those minor features are very important to you.

no offense but i would love for you to throw back my cooked grenades, nothing says owned like a noob ( not calling you a noob, just saying in general ) trying to throw back cooked grenades, didnt you learn to not even attempt to pick them up after being thrown in multiplayer? No half way decent player would throw an uncooked grenade

For the record... the reason why you have infinite ammo in this game is that you DO and WILL run out of ammo for your primary weapon. It adds a whole funny little element to the gameplay. It's not like the pistol helps much anyway when you come across someone with a primary... Just something I thought I should point out.

I sometimes use the pistol more than my primary on smaller maps as it is two shot kills and is perfect for close combat.
Since I almost always aim for the head, the pistol is a very good and strong weapon.
I haven't looked at the guide, but if there is a trophy for getting around 20 kills with the pistol in one match, I would get it so easily! :D

Also, I hope that the developers add support for mounted machine guns, like the ones we can use in Skirmish. (I think that's the right spelling) during online play.

@eba - I know there are some gamers out there that are really picky about their shooters. I personally am a casual gamer of every genre.

I'll try everything, and judge each game for what it IS, and what it has to offer. Of course I'm gonna compare every game in the back of my mind. But I try not to focus too much on details like that.

Try to take in KZ2 for what it is. Those things you point out are so small compared to everything else it has to offer.
I have never felt the realness the environments and the action have to offer in any other game.

I thought R2 and the first act of MGS4 really felt like a battlefield, but this game makes both of those seem like a day in the park when it comes to that war feeling.

fabi- i guess im been to picky because the hype that i was suppose to be the best shooter so far and i do like it but wut i did notice the more a played i started to like it more and i not really picky 4 most games but for some reason 4 this one i was and hopefully COD6 is awsome lol...thanx 4 the discussion everyone im going o play KZ2 and see what Fabi says

Cool, that has happened to me before too, I'm not gonna lie. It happened with R2. I was really hyped for it, and when I finally got my hands on it, I spent too much time focusing on what I didn't like, and how it didn't look as good as Gears 2.

Now that I tried Gears 2, and re-played R2. I appreciate it much more, and I had a blast re-playing the campaign and joining some online co-op.

I haven't been too conscious of the trophies for K2 - just been playing through the SP for the sake of playing to be honest, but yea some of those look pretty damn hard.

On another note: did anyone else notice how fricking FAST some people have ranked up!? It must have been that bot exploit that Guerilla just took out, but I already saw a damn 3 STAR GENERAL in one of my games earlier today... that's the LAST damn ranking too. Not to mention a few snipers here and there coming in...

I mean, I've played MP for like 7 hours total (I know, kinda sad) since getting it yesterday, and I just barely got the engineer badge. If anyone wants to play, PSN ID: Gunslinger_G

I am enjoying my KZ2 experience thus far, I do feel however there are a few points/criticism that I feel Guerrilla should definitely take not of in a patch... that would make it near damn perfect...

troy powers funny thing is i dont own COD 4 or 5 just played them 4 a bit and im actually not a big fan COD 5 but when u got a big game u have to compare it with the best games in there genre and last time i remember COD 4 got game of the years from many people got 10's all in the same year in likes of halo 3

kz2 singleplayer is very good sexy gfx nice anti-aliasing if alittle slow ..however online multiplayer is awful!! ..slow ..ponderous..aiming is a total nitemare....i really hope theres a magic patch!

The sensitivity gets a lot of complaints from people... but only for the first couple hours.
Personally, I too was really pissed with them until I realized K2 requires you to forget what the false prophets of COD told you about online FPS.
If you have no idea what I am talking about it is this, in COD, resistance etc. you usually zoom in and twitch your aiming around until you kill the m****r f****r, but in K2, you either kill them completely aiming from the hip (not entering zoom mode) or get your reticule onto your target FIRST and then zoom in for your kill.
If you still don't understand.. Just get the f**k back in there and soon you'll see what I mean and you shall begin the pwning of noobs in no time :p
Killzone 2 is so fun amd I only wish that it made a bigger deal when you rank up (though that isn't really a big complaint haha)

COD 4 seems to keep with your speed of thought kz2 does not..ive tried every sensitivity setting nothing works a patch is needed ..also there are sum serious flaws with team balancing and spawnkilling...the amount of time ive spawned only to gunned down by bots.

This is game is superb all around. Only flaw is its length. They more than make up for this with the sheer number of Helghast enemies you face in Singlplayer. In the HUNDREDS!

Online is addicting, its nothing like I've ever played before. Complete battle-scapes.

it seems to me that alot of people with only console gaming experience seem to be totally amazed by the fact there console goes online, and any interaction at all with online games seems to be enuff for them.. no matter how bad it is!

not sure where you are going with that comment, but you shouldn't assume that those who like the online gameplay ( who are in the majority ) aren't just putting up with it because of console only experience.

bottom line is if you dont like the online, move on to another game, no one is forcing you to play it.

Yeah, the online for KZ2 is incredible. I've only completed the first two mission of the campaign, but I can't stop playing the multiplayer. And it gets 10 times better once you start unlocking the good badges...saboteur, engineer, sniper, and the one guy with double the armor and the boost pill. He's a beast! If you don't like KZ2's multiplayer, I pray that you can find SOMETHING you like, and get lots of it.

yea, I don't think the trophies for this game is that hard to get. I mean I already rank top 6% and got my trophy in 6 hours. I figure another 6-10 will get me the 1%. What surpirses me is that I suck at fps games so the trophy thing means one of two things. A) The game is really easy, or B)I'm a beast and play it too much. I think it's A. Who knows.
