inFamous Set For June, Demo Imminent

We're all well aware of the potentially amazing PlayStation 3 exclusives that are looming large on the horizon, and one of them is most certainly Sucker Punch's inFamous.

For those of you interested in indulging in an action/adventure title where the main character finds himself infused with very useful electricity (just think of the possibilities!), this one is for you. And thanks to a recent update over at the official PlayStation blog, we've learned that inFamous is on track for a June release, and yes, a demo is also on the way! Unfortunately, we don't have exact release dates for either the demo or the full game, but we imagine those will be coming along soon. Cole McGrath could be the next true bad-ass in the video game realm, and we're relatively convinced that action aficionados and superhero fans alike will enjoy this experience. There's some platforming, some intense combat, and a few unique features as well, so inFamous could be one of the top summer titles in 2009. If you want to learn a bit more and gain access to some more media, feel free to head on over to Sucker Punch's official site and do some research.

We'll let you know when they issue the dates in question, and until then, we have high hopes for the final product! We can't wait to give this one a spin; dark, chaotic environments and singularly powered characters always give us a rush.

seriously how can anyone claim the ps3 is doing anything but kicking ass full steam ahead when faced with such awesome exclusive titles?

I can't wait for inFamous. I expect a great game from the developers of my favorite PS2 series. This is my most anticipated game of 2009.

My feelings about this game have varied wildly, from "meh" to "OMFG this is going to be the best game ever" and have finally settled at just dang excited.
I'm just upset I have to wait until June! I was hoping for a good game to keep me from studying for finals in April and May.

This game is definitely looking very nice indeed.

Reminds me of Assassins Creed in a way. -Free roaming, ability to climb just about anything, having a limited amount of weapons/powers, being a bad ass, etc., etc. Hopefully there's a decent story and this just might be addicting as hell because I know Assassins Creed was. =)

whoa. inFAMOUS + Prototype all in 1 month.
sighs, but but but... how do i get the two, getting only inFAMOUS would definately save my wallet.
I only hope Sony can get this one right, cos they have never gotten any of their games right... i mean in terms of publicity to the mainstream.

I keep hearing good things about this game but I am still a little confused as to what the game is, besides the details that it is open world and you can harness electricity as a weapon I have not heard anything about it. other than it is good

I'm looking forward to this game as well. The electrical abilities that the main character has reminds me of starwars force unleashed. But that's not necessarily a bad thing though.

Finally some solid info. I cant wait to see what the demo offers let alone the game! If the story is solid I think itll sell quite decent. Lets hope they have some surprises in store for us!

Still on the fence about this bad boy, it looks great but idk. I will more than likely get it, but the reviews and demo should lend a hand. What in h3ll is Prototype and what's so bloody amazing about it?

infamous seems a little more grounded in terms of game play, prototype looks like gta4 with all the cheat codes turned on, just chaos. I would get tired of it after 15 minutes. Infamous will be a must buy.

Even the most recent footage of this game looks sluggish and glitchy...I hope they've REALLY improved it by now if it's almost finished.

I know I will play the game but still not sure this is a $60 purchase for me. Also I thought it would be coming April or May. I wonder what ps3 exclusives are coming in those months. When is Heavy Rain coming?
