Capcom, GameStop Team Up For RE5 Launch Party
Behind Killzone 2, it's the most anticipated release of the year so far, and survival/horror fans have been eagerly awaiting the day since Resident Evil 4 successfully rejuvenated the franchise last generation.
Capcom has announced that to celebrate the launch of Resident Evil 5, they've teamed up with GameStop to throw one kick-ass party. It takes place on Thursday, March 12 (countdown to the game's release on the 13th), and if you wish to attend, head on down to Union Square in San Francisco at 8 p.m. Come midnight, you'll be able to pick up your copy of the long-awaited game, but they'll have plenty of entertainment leading up to that time. They'll have a "whole tent dedicated to the game where tons of kiosks will be set up and players will get a chance to get their hands on the game before grabbing it at midnight," and you can enter for your chance to win a few sweet prizes. Members of the development team will also be on hand, including producer Jun Takeuchi and the voice actors for both Chris and Sheva.
Now, in order to gain admittance, you must pre-purchase the game at the Powell Street GameStop location, where you will receive your proof of purchase wristband and the required receipt. There's limited attendance, so Capcom suggests you take care of this ASAP! Oh, and there's one final juicy tidbit: apparently, they are taking this opportunity to issue new game announcements! We can't wait to find out what those new projects are, and although we're clear across the country, we kinda wish we could attend. RE5 is near, and don't forget about our review...coming very soon!

RE series is one of the limited shooters i play, because the controls are simple, and the "zombies" are dumb (easy targets). I cannot play the modern multiplayer shooters because everyone are too pro, there's no way to not become a sitting duck target.
