GameStop Used Deal This Weekend
Everyone can use a little help in this trying economy, so we've located a good deal for those of you seeking to satisfy your gaming habit without breaking the bank.
The screenshot here should say it all. As Gamer Deals reports, this weekend is a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotional event at GameStop. It includes their used games and accessories, and you can take advantage of it by shopping in the store or online. There are instructions at the previous link on how to activate the deal when shopping online, but some of you may prefer to simply drive on down to the nearest store and peruse about. Although you may not find something like RE5 used this weekend (it comes out tomorrow), there are always plenty of used titles to sift through. And who says you have to stick to games released in this generation? With the sheer number of PS2 titles out there, we can pretty much guarantee you missed a few, and now's the time to pick 'em up. Obviously, we can pretty much guarantee that the third item you select - the one that'll be free - will have to be equal to or less than the cost of the most expensive of the first two. That's just the way these things work. You can't go up there with two $10 used games and expect to get a $50 one for free. Just remember, this deal is good for three days only: it runs this weekend, from March 13-15.
So anyway, if you're out and about this weekend or the weather keeps you inside, consider visiting GameStop and checking out the used games and accessories. Sometimes, deals like this can yield some very cool results if you've got an eagle eye...

Use Lighter fluid, just a few drops & let it soak in for a minute of two.
Then slowly peel it away.
If it's still too dry & you still can't peel it off yet, then add a few more drops so it stays at least semi-wet.
If after you get the sticker off, you still have some sticky residue left from the sticker, just use a few more drops, wait a minutes & wipe off with a paper towel, etc.
FYI, don't worry about doing it on the manual or inner sleeve because the paper dries out quickly & doesn't leave any fluid stains.
Hope that helps.
DISCLAIMER: just keep away cigarettes & other ignition sources while doing it, LOL

Hey Gogaku, don't feel bad. I just got MGS4 not too long ago and have been playing it to death. It is truly a masterpiece. I heard the hype and praise, but words fail me. MGS4 is amazing (new OR used).

if yours are xbox fanboys, just go find another gamestop or go to worsebuy or cc. i recommend craigslist if anyone waits long enough after a game's release. I find used games all the time for $40 from someone else. not bad at all.

I'm excited to see what competition will bring to the consumers. Hopefully more stuff like this.
BTW Amazon is suppose to give consumers 10% more for trading in their games and sell those games for 20% less than Gamestop.

Don't forget to use your Edge card for an extra 10% discount.
If you do, you can get three $55 games for $99, or $33 a piece. Sweet!
Although, I don't need the extra competition as I head for that game I want. I guess I'll need to stretch and limber up after work. ;)

I found $60 5-foot custom high wooden CD shelving units(7 shelves each) at a Big Lots store for only $10 each some years ago. I bought 5 of them & lined them down my hallway.
When I first got them, I just used them for my music Cd's & my PS1 games, but as my collection grew & I started buying PS2 & Xbox games, I've since had to relegate all my music & computer CD's to a bunch of LaserLine towers(holds100 each).
To make the PS2 & Xbox's fit, I just lay them on their opening end & slide em in, they fit perfect. Each shelf holds 75 PS1 games or 52 of the bulkier PS2/Xbox games(I should've bought 10-15 more of the units at that time cause they're no longer made, & I just bought 6 more games tonight & now I've completely run out of shelf space). Right now, I have no idea where I'm going to put my PS3 & 360 games when I start getting them next month.
All my Jaguar, 3DO, & Dreamcast games are LaserLine towers too.
My Genisis cart's are in 7 custom wooden boxes that were out just for their games at that time (holds 24 games each). I also have 5 custom pull-drawer boxes that were out at the time for the N64 too(holds 24 cart's each.
The only right-sized shelving units I haven't found yet, are for all my damned bulky Saturn games, & I've had to put them in a huge cardboard box for now.

If you see a bunch of copies of that used game you've been looking for, make sure you check for the price on the sticker every single one of them, because I've found up $3 to $8 differences on the price stickers.
I think I must've saved over $70 on a ton of games so far this year alone just by finding a game that has a much lower price than all the same others one's sitting right next to it.

I still haven't played Heavenly Sword and Tomb Raider underworld, so now would be a good time to buy.
