Burn Zombie Burn! Details, Including Multiple Game Modes

It's going to be a rip-roaring good time: zombies, zombies on fire, dead zombies, marauding zombies, an endless swarm of zombies...!

Sony has issued a press release announcing the game modes for the upcoming PSN title, Burn Zombie Burn!. The game is slated to hit the Store on March 26, and if you haven't already heard, it's a nod towards old-school top-down shooters like Smash TV, and takes its inspiration from cheesy horror flicks. You play as Bruce, just some dude who wants to get some "quality time" with his girlfriend, Daisy. Unfortunately, zombies break up the romance and the massacre ensues. The first mode is "Survive the Zombies!" as this merely features a zillion zombies that aren't as difficult as they are in other modes, and all you have to do is find nifty ways of blowing up a lot of them at once. Then there's "Beat the Clock!," which is exactly what it sounds like (nail as many baddies as possible within the time limit), and the last, "Protect Daisy!" This time, you've gotta play the role of the heroic boyfriend and make sure Daisy doesn't get her brain munched. This is just one of those kick-back-and-relax games, although it's the exact opposite of the kind of "relaxing" one might find with a game like Flower. Burn Zombie Burn! will make your fingers fly and your palms sweat, but you should always have a grin on your face.
