Batman: Arkham Asylum CE Details, Batarang Included
We've been hearing nothing but good things about Batman: Arkham Asylum and if you're a huge Bruce Wayne fan, you may have to pony up the cash come June...
As Kotaku reports, there's going to be a sweet Collectors Edition available on store shelves come June 9, when Arkham Asylum launches. Obviously, this isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill CE; this bad boy not only includes a DC Custom Encyclopedia and the first round of downloadable content, but also...a 12" Batarang! Yeah, that's right; you'll get your very own Bat-specific weapon, along with the now-requisite Behind the Scenes DVD and official soundtrack. Although GameStop hasn't confirmed all these nifty items just yet, you can always go ahead and pre-order it if you're so inclined. It will retail for $99.99, so in order to be considered a good deal, you have to believe that all the extra goodies are worth at least $40. We figure the hardcore fans might go for it, but it seems a little extravagant for those who merely say, "yeah, the movies were good and I think I'm interested in this game." That's just not gung-ho enough. Chances are, for a hundred bucks, you'd want a full Batman suit, complete with Kevlar breastplate and utility belt, huh?
Well, either way, it sounds like a nifty package. Just don't go throwing that Batarang at the dude who steals a woman's purse...not only will you look quite foolish, but you'll accomplish nothing (even if you miraculously hit him). Just find a cop, m'kay?

Again, a developer is giving out DLC on the CE disc but not the standard edition, indicating the DLC is ready to ship on the disc.
Am I the only one who finds this wrong?
Didn't developers learn from the furor over EA's giveaway of weapons with the CE of Bad Company but charging purchasers of the standard edition for those same guns? Until EA reversed course and made those weapons unlockables in game for free of course.
