Capcom Bringing More PS1 Classics To The Network

'

If you enjoy checking out those PS1 classics available on the PlayStation Store, you'll be happy to know that Capcom will continue pumping 'em out.

According to Siliconera, Capcom will have more PS1 classics on the way, although we don't have exact titles or dates. We do know that the publisher has already submitted several to Sony for final approval, and here's hoping they will arrive on the Store within the next month or so. Here's what Christian Svensson, Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business Development, had to say on the issue: "The first PS1 titles for PSN were submitted last week...when I have some dates for them, well let you know." For the record, the ESRB has already rated the likes of Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 as PS3 and PSP games, but Capcom's library is pretty damn huge; any number of titles could be on the list. Take a quick look at a list of possibilities and pick your favorites! What do you want to see on the PSN? How many of you have kept the original PS1 games and they're currently sitting on a shelf somewhere? How many have yet to download a PS1 classic from the Store? If you're in the latter group, we'd like to point you in the direction of Konami's Suikoden; it's a can't-miss old-school RPG.

Anyway, we'll let you know as soon as Capcom comes forth with the games that will soon grace the PSN. If you hope for them hard enough, maybe a few of your favorites will be included...

Ouch! These games look like crap on a 40 incher.
I looked at the list and there's not much there. Still, the love is strong and I'd take MGS, FF7, FF8, FF9... oh wait

I don't know if I'd want to purchase some of these again. However, games that I have that are not in the best shape (I couldn't get all my games new)like Mega Man Legends, and Mega Man Legends 2, and Resident Evil 2, I would want to play some of these games without having to worry about damaged disk problems like broken dialogue strings and freezing. There may be an advantage to this, but I would still rather have the disks. My PSone and 2 still function properly. I refuse to take them for granted. I still play PSone games on my PS2. If it bugs out on me I at least know that I would have the ability to go back to my PSone to play a library almost equally entertaining as that of my PS2 (at least until I get another PS2).

I have all of my original games. I never sell them.

Actually, I've recently been wondering how I can get my PSX games ripped to a memory card to play on my PSP fat... that and emulation.

I'll download SF Alpha 3 tomorrow if they keep World Tour Mode intact.

In fact, I'll repeat my wish for an adapted World Tour Mode for Street Fighter 4. GIVE ME PLEASE, CAPCOM!

Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 and Breath of Fire 3 and 4 please.

Suikoden is a great buy. I own it and dowloaded it to play on the PSP. I'm playing it now about the 5th time and am enjoying it as much as the first time.

Since UMD is pretty much dead, I think they should just focus on letting us download more titles to the PS3 and able to transport it to the PSP if we feel the need to continue our gaming on the go!
