Kojima Adopts New Title At Konami
See Full ImageHideo Kojima has received multiple honors in the past year - many of which were Lifetime Achievement Awards from various sources - so it seems only logical to promote a guy like that.
According to Kotaku, Kojima will have a new title as of April 1; that of "Managing Director Operating Officer" and "Studio Head of Kojima Productions." Now, either this is just a cruel trick to play on the journalists (damnit, now we have to type all that whenever we put Kojima's name in an article?!), or it's a definite promotion. We've heard that Kojima may not be handling the reigns on Metal Gear 5 and it may be due to this title change, although we're not willing to dissect his new position. Prior to founding his own studio within Konami, Kojima was a vice-president for the publisher, then he stepped down in 2005 to focus more on the game design aspects of the business. All we know is that we really don't care what his company title is; we just want to know what his next project is, and when we might get some details on it. We're all hoping the rumor that MG5 will be revealed at this year's E3 proves true, because if it doesn't, we'll all be left hanging...and that's just plain annoying.
So anyway, we figure more congratulations are in order for Mr. Kojima. By the time we're all old and gray, it's very likely that Hideo Kojima will be one of our most favorite people in the universe.

He's just awesome
On the subject of who'll be the main character:
Snake had a historic run.
In MGS5 someone will replace him. I'm putting my money on Sunny.
There's somehing going for her. Her mother, being around Otacon, not knowing the world, but being extremely tech savvy, etc.
Would be interesting to replace Snake with a female. If he's replaced with a male we'll start comparing him with Snake, "oh he sucks compared to Snake. But if replaced by a babe we'll be more open-minded.

I could imagine her being in a similar role as Otacon (older obviously), but I just cant see her being the main character some how.
Any how, with Kojima not being director anymore, it could go completely go down hill from here. Im seriously hoping not, but who knows....

As for the next Metal Gear? I have a couple of ideas... maybe you'll play as Raiden and if it is Sunny maybe it will be in the future. Or seeing she is so tech savvy she might create some sort of Mech warrior robot kind of thing that she controls....
Like I said the possibilities are endless when it comes to '' the Man'' (see everyone know who I'm talking about).
All I say out of respect for Snake I would let him rest. He's done his part. And he's done it well....

(No offense) Its this sort of thing that gets me agravated and why i cant see 'MGS5' working. Its just going to seem so forced and out of place form the rest, in MGS4 all and i mean ALL the characters stories were wrapped up in the end, Raiden goes to live a family life, Snake leads a peaceful life until death along with Otacon, Meryl and the rest once again are at peace, its all over, i dont want them to make up a tradgey for sequels sake,

-to me when he says a new title it may not be anything MGS. But if it is that would be great i love the series, i don't play the games but my best friend does so i watch him play. I hope it's not a april fools joke
