New Leading Lady For Ghostbusters Game: Alyssa Milano
If you're a "Ghostbusters" fan - and really, who isn't? - you're probably semi-intrigued by the upcoming Atari game. They're bringing back the entire original cast for this video game incarnation...with one exception.
The boys will be there, including Rick Moranis, but the leading lady won't be around. According to Variety, Sigourney Weaver initially declined to be part of the production, which means the designers simply had to write the character of Dana Barrett out of the game script. But because we still need a leading lady, they created another role: Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, curator of the World of Gozer exhibit at the Natural History Museum, and the woman's name should give you a hint as to who will handle the voice acting... It's the lovely lady in the picture here; Alyssa Milano. Still gorgeous at 36, she should make for a worthy addition to the game, which is scheduled to release on June 16. We have high hopes for the final product, simply because we know the original creators are definitely part of the development process. Provided they keep the ol' original flair from the movie and the gameplay itself is fluid and entertaining, we should get something that's well worth our time. We've seen some promising preview videos and the information we've received thus far have made us smile. Just don't let us down!
It's a bit of a letdown that we won't have the major character of Dana Barrett, but that's okay. Just one question, though- will the doctor look like Alyssa Milano? Because, you know...we kinda want to know...
