God Of War III Collectors Confirmed, What Content Do You Want?

Times are tough, but the hardcore still desire their fancy Collectors Editions for certain releases. Besides, by the time God of War III launches next year, times may not be so "tough," anymore, right?

The e-mail that has come to our attention was sent out to all members of the PlayStation Underground GAP (Gamers Advisory Panel). In it, they ask what we'd like to see in a God of War III Collectors Edition; they touch on packaging, extra content, figurines, random goodies, etc. The important part of the e-mail is pated below:

"What would make the ultimate GOW III Collectors Edition? What types of content would you include? (i.e. figurines, art book, etc.) What kind of packaging? (e.g., steel tin box, exclusive artwork, etc.) What kind of videos would you like the CE to include? Any additional ideas you die-hard God of War minds can think of?

Lastly, don't be shy. Give us descriptions, photos or even videos if you have to. If you want the ultimate GOW III Collectors Edition, give us your ultimate opinions. So have fun. There's nothing to lose. We're really just interested in finding out what God of War fans want in a Collectors Edition."

Okay, so maybe you're not a GAP member but you still want your voice to be heard. Well, the best we can offer is a spot in the Comments section or over there in the forums, so you can better discuss your grand schemes and desires for the GoWIII Collectors Edition. For some of us, we're just happy to know that a CE is indeed planned, and that the guys behind the scenes are smart enough to poll the gamers before creating the package. Kudos, we say!

I've never bought a CE for any game, but...GoW III promises to be like no other game.

It would be nice to have versions of the first two GOW's that are playable on non-backwards compatible PS3s.

Maybe they could do it like what MS did when they re-did Ninja Gaiden for the original Xbox...you have to look through the game to find ways to unlock the originals...would add to the playability factor...or frustrate a lot of people....

i've never had the oppertunity to play any of the GoW's (besides Chains of olympus)... if this were possible, i'd deffinetly think about forking the extra cash 4 the CE... even if it had a price tag of $100+... i'd play in order. finish GoW1, GoW2, then tackle GoW3 =D

A CE for the most epic?! Im willing to pay up. How often do gamers really think about their CEs anyway? Hardly any I betcha! Why? Because theyre lame. Same ol' CEs being passed around; game by game. Its time for a change. And it wont change unless someone puts all others to shame!

This will be a benchmark game; why not a benchmark CE?

I like the idea to put God of War 1&2 on another blu ray disk along with a making of movie and some dlc. I never buy collector edition so not sure what makes a good one. Anyway; can't wait for this game!!!

Blades of Chaos replica much like what they did with the GeoW Lancer that you can buy separately. Although something like that would surely cost a bunch. :(

Other than that, typical things you would find in a CE, except for the fact it should be of great quality!.. not cheap garbage put together in about an hour.

Plus everything SPS3 said. :)

I'm willing to fork over $100 for a game like this, just as long as it's worth it of course.

In case ben doesn't get back to you, I think yeah url is the only way to go, I just took 2 seconds out of my day to open a photobucket account, they supply you with the direct link URL once you upload your pic and its very simple.

It's too bad there wasn't a super old GOW on PS1 that they could put up on the network eh?

Heh heh, why does Sony tease us with these things a year before the game is out? At least we have plenty of exclusive to keep us rollin till it drops. So is this final confirmation of Ben's other article about whether or not Sony listens to its fans? Yup, I think it is.

Oh yeah, and I want full sized bronze lionhead arm-fist punchy thingies...FTW!

DLC- A Sackboy costume for Kratos just to match the Kratos costume I got for my sackboy, Id love that. A CE of this game just really needs to show the badassness of the game, the first 2 GoW games had a ton of free bonus content and it was all nessecary stuff to.

That's a tough one, I don't usually buy CE's so I'm not sure.

a copy of the originals would be cool, and maybe some CE Exclusive content...but I probably won't buy it anyways, so doesn't matter...(the CE, I'll probably still try the game.)

All I know is that when it hits this year i'm buying it. A few ideas of what I "might" want to see?

1. No crappy figures like R2 or SFIV. I want a detailed McFarlane like Kratos Model.

2. Blu-ray GOW animated feature.

3. Update on what's going on if anything with the live action Movie.

4. a Vid on the story for all the GOW games.

5. 5 skins to pick from to playthrough the game again with. Maybe Zeus being one of them.

6. Add some artwork, theme and soundtrack that you can load right to your ps3.

7. (extreme CE) Blades of Chaos

8. GOW3 Poster

Hmm...seeing that this would be the first CE that I would be getting a few things would be a must on it...

1. The soundtracks from all 3 GoWs
2. Art
3. The first 2 games updated would be nice
4. BTS content like the first 2 games (I really
liked the stuff with Micheal Clarke Duncan, Linda Hunt, Harry Hammlin, et al.) Making the game and stuff like that.
