Insomniac To Unveil Ratchet And Clank Future Sequel Soon?
See Full ImageOkay Ratchet fans, here's the news you've been waiting for: the latest rumor is that Insomniac is just about ready to lift the veil on a new Ratchet and Clank entry.
As PlayStation Lifestyle reports, a supposed "unnamed source at Insomniac Games" has confirmed that a new entry in the well-received action/platforming series is just about ready to be revealed. We only know that it might be called Ratchet and Clank Future: ACIT, and we're certain that "ACIT" stands for something...not sure what, though. We also don't know if this is a game that will be made for the PSN (like Quest for Booty), or if it'll be a full title for the Blu-Ray disc format. There's further evidence in the form of the Ratchet and Clank Future Weapon Design Contest, and James Stevenson made the following comment over at the official PlayStation blog:
"There will be runner-up prizes. Can’t reveal anything about the prize yet. Stay tuned to the PlayStation Blog and http://www.ratchetandclank.com we’ll reveal the contest rules and prizes and much more next week."
No point in having such a contest without the game! We just have to assume that the new R&C will be revealed soon, although we may have to wait as long as E3 in the first week of June. There was little chance that Insomniac would abandon such a lucrative series, anyway, so it's not going to come as any huge surprise. Still, it's good to know.

Very tired of the R&C franchise. Not against anyone who's not, mind you, but like Orvisman, I'd do a cartwheel through the courthouse if Jak & Dexter returned to its rightful place: on a SONY console.
IMHO, the J & D series was better paced, the setup was more compelling, and it was a helluva lot funnier, which, as you may already know, matters to me. Just my $0.02!
