Madden NFL 10 Dated, "Draft Experience" Detailed
When it comes to the Madden franchise, we should probably stop counting years and start counting decades.
EA has announced that Madden NFL 10 is slated to release on Friday, August 14, so prepare yourself for the guaranteed midnight launches around the country. Last year's installment was a significant improvement over Madden NFL 08 (especially where PlayStation 3 owners are concerned), and you can expect even more "on-field authenticity and emotion" this time around. EA boasts that the player will have "more control over the outcome of the play than ever before," which means it should cater to the diehard pigskin fan in every true American. Said Senior Producer Phil Frazier:
"The Tiburon team couldn’t be more excited about Madden NFL 10. With online innovation that will connect Madden fans together like never before, an immersive broadcast presentation that captures the suspense and emotion of the NFL, and the most authentic gameplay to date, Madden NFL 10 will be the pinnacle in the award-winning franchise."
Want another incentive, fantasy football lovers? What EA is calling the "Madden NFL 10 Draft Experience," which will be hosted exclusively at MaddenNFL.easports.com, kicks off on Saturday, April 25. The website will boast a "live, streaming draft analysis show produced right from Madden headquarters in Orlando, Florida." You'll have access to all sorts of great content, including call-ins from real NFL athletes, on-site correspondents, and even the opportunity for fans to call in themselves! As the players are drafted, the Madden NFL 10 ratings will be released and discussed live. How cool is that?
Madden NFL 10 will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, and Wii.

I am so sick of this blatant cash grab the sports franchises pull every year. I bought NHL '09 this year, and was bitterly disappointed by the fact that it was (other than a minor gameplay graphics update) the same as the PS2 NHL 06 I own.
I traded it in against my purchase of KZ2... EA can suck it, I won't be one of those idiots.
