tri-Ace Multiplatform RPG: Square-Enix No Longer Ignoring PS3?
We know that many RPG fans and PlayStation 3 owners were annoyed to learn that Star Ocean: The Last Hope would be an Xbox 360 exclusive - a move that still makes zero sense, Square-Enix - but it seems that tri-Ace has another role-playing project up their sleeve...and this one is for both the 360 and PS3.
The evidence is clear: check out the teaser website for a new RPG by the talented developer; it features nothing more than a countdown and the PS3 and 360 logos. Whatever it is, we can't wait for the announcement because as far as we're concerned, tri-Ace owes us PS3 owners an RPG! Oh, we know it's not the developer's fault, but even so, they used to be fiercely loyal to Sony platforms. Their history includes Star Ocean: The 2nd Story and Valkyrie Profile for the original PlayStation, Star Ocean: 'Til the End of Time, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and Radiata Stories on the PS2, and of course, Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the Xbox 360. The good news is that this new project appears to be tri-Ace's very first multiplatform title, because we can't seem to find a single game of theirs that hasn't been exclusive to one platform or another. Everyone has to branch out these days, it seems. Perhaps the first details and information will pop up in Famitsu or Dengeki at some point in the near future, and we'll be sure to keep an eye on the Internet.
But here's the other intriguing aspect of this: Square-Enix has published both of tri-Ace's efforts this generation. Enix published the games on the PlayStation before the merge. tri-Ace and S-E have never been without each other. ...shouldn't we assume that S-E will be publishing this new RPG? Hence, shouldn't we also assume that S-E may have a multiplatform focus going forward? Or is that jumping the gun...?

From multi-platform to Xbox360 only maybe. I ain't too impressed with S-E anymore. Nor do I really that excited about them...
Gust, NIS, Atlus on the other hand, Keep up the good work! (Here's looking at you Atelier Rorona!)

Anyway, I'll believe this when I see it, I'm not too fussed that we didn't get the sub-par Last Remnant but I AM fussed that they broke their word once again. Don't trust that third rate publisher anymore.
Looking forward to the announcement (Hope it's better than Sony's)
