it was cool though with the alpha mods (speed, more ammo, greater blast radius, etc.)
and of course the omega mods.... those were awesome (acid, napalm, freeze, lightning, morph, etc.)
but still, deadlocked didn't have the same feel
maybe because there wasn't as much platforming
plus you didn't have clank with you!!
i like having either the jet-pack or heli-pack

OK Seriously? I think maybe you're taking games too casually. I have to say that the story in most FPS games is cursory at best, so when you compare a strong fps game like KZ2 to R&C with respect to story, I really have a lot of trouble seeing your point. In games that have a reasonable length and complexity of story, you have to follow the story to get involved and maintain interest. If you just breeze through a game in an almost mechanical fashion, you will miss all the subtle elements in the story and not connect with it. You can't treat games like R&C as if they were fps games where you move from target to target, they are not that kind of game at all.

This is why the concept of digital delivery for HD video is such a joke. The broadband speeds that the vast majority of ordinary people have simply won't support it. Sure a few geek gliterati in the urban areas have 10s of Mbits/second, but they are rare (and annoyingly smug about it).

I love that the feature list is heavy on single player features and does not make mention of an online component. Even if there is some online co-op mode. Insomnia seem to 'get' that a game is about the player that bought it, and not the online community that may or may not form around it.
R&C games traditionally sell well into the long tail, that is they sell well for a long period of time picking up sales in Platinum/Greatest Hits versions as well. Imagine if the game has a major online focus and 6 months after release when the majority of buyers have bought and played the game. The online scene will gradually fade in importance, but if the game focuses on the online aspect to the detriment of the single player game, it will not be much fun for people buying into the game later in it's life. Sure there will probably be a dedicated hardcore group of fans, but they will hardly be newbie friendly.
So, to see no mention of online play in the feature list at this point brings warm and fuzzy feelings to my heart.

can't wait for this!
but when they say customizing weapons... i hope that doesnt mean this will end up like deadlocked
deadlocked was good, but it just lost contact with that classic ratchet and clank feel
but i still think that insomniac will make this a fine finish for the R&C future story arc
