Killzone 2 DLC Set For April 30, Guerilla Passes On Co-op
It's one of the biggest PlayStation 3 exclusives so far, so it's not exactly surprising to see the level of excitement associated with the upcoming downloadable content.
First, the good news: it has been confirmed that the map pack, known as Steel & Titanium, now has a confirmed release date of April 30. We don't have a price just yet, but it's enough to know we'll get these great new maps before the month is out. Now, the bad news: according to the latest edition of Game Informer, Guerilla has confirmed that, despite any rumors you may have heard, co-op gameplay won't be included in the impending DLC. Said Guerilla Co-founder and Managing Director, Hermen Hulst:
"We looked at all the different flavors of co-op early on, but decided our first priority would have to be the single-player experience and the multiplayer. Rather than just tack on co-op, it would have to be integrated and done to a similar standard as the single and multiplayer. Having looked at it again now. I do not think we would want to add it as DLC."
Bah. Oh well. We also saw the rumor that new vehicles might be featured in the first batch of downloadable content, but as we haven't heard anything new on that, either, we have to assume the Steel & Titanium description is complete. There's nothing wrong with new maps, of course, but the fans may want something a bit more significant as time wears on. None of this stops KZ2 from being the masterpiece it is, though.

now about the call of duty comment, the answer is:,no i do not,i own 1,2 for ps2 and 3 for ps3 and i was letdown and have not yet finished it for that reason,im not interested in modern combat, and will wait for world at war to go down in price like i usually do...
there are very few games that i would pay full retail price for (bioshock2,half-life,halo3, doom4,etc)
and even though psn is free,i do not care for online.

As for people complaining about cost of DLC being free or not; People, the PS3 is not a cheap system, for being the best, it can't be. if you BOUGHT yours, you knew what you signed up for, if you didn't buy yours and got it as a GIFT you've already saved hundreds of dollars. This is a tough economy, people are losing jobs, Guerilla made a good product, released it when they said they would, I applaud them. DLC doesn't HAVE to be free, gaming isn't always a cheap hobby. There's great co/op in Warhawk and Resistance 2, but if people are still upset they can try this great solution to both problems:
**Get out of your Mom's basement(playing World of Warcraft like Cartman on South Park!)and get a job involving video game production, you can both make the type of games you like and afford your DLC for others** In life, anything manmade has a price, only rainbows, sunrises, and Mr. Hankey are free!

GG's moth666 said it wouldent be in the first comumity interview with the playstation blog.
But im realy dissapointed with this i was expecting the first DLC to be realy big theve made us wait long enough.
this game in general is a big dissapointment i mean in the same time it has taken GG to make this game insomniac has made 4 R1 R2 R&C feature tools and R&C quest for booty.
and resistance 2 has 10 times more features than KZ2.
no co-op you cant even play online with 2 players on 1 console how crap is that.
i was expecting alot more since this game was in development for what like 4 years thats a long time and it realy does not show.
besides the single player campaign wich is EXTREMLY short theres nothing to do besides the adverage MP wich gets boring after a while.
as most of the reviews said it does not bring anything new it does not even bring the things that are standard to shooters these days.
like not being able to have 2 players on 1 system thats pathetic most FPS do that so why cant this?

Some of you need to get with the program. Since when has co-op been the sell all in regards to a game? Don't get me wrong I like co-op but can do without it. If every game had co-op they'd be the same. Not every FPS is alike and the sooner people realize that maybe they'll appreciate the game more.

7 hours on elite and im up to the cruser and cant get past there.
but it is short 10 levels is dissapointing for a game in dev for 4 year why cant it be like DMC3 that had 20+ lvls.
20 is to many agreed but still it is short for a game that has been worked on for so long and this is supose to be the ps3's flagship title where if you ask me R2 is more of a must have than KZ2.
