Killzone 2 Patch 1.24 Detailed
Killzone 2We all know about the Steel & Titanium Map Pack that's coming for Killzone 2 - it'll be available for download on April 30 - but Guerilla has more updates to issue.
It's patch 1.24, which will enable support for the aforementioned DLC pack and also adds three additional ranks to the top of the list; they're known as "Hardcore Ranks." It also boasts a few "minor improvements" that will enhance the AI, Campaign mode, Clan options and more. For instance, there's a potential bug on the Salamun Bridge in the Campaign that will be fixed, and there are more than a few Exploits that are gonna disappear. There's a funny one where the player can actually gain access to the palace roof if they respawn in a certain area when fighting Radec. Then there's a crazy incomplete wall in the Salamun Market that lets the opposition see and shoot you through the transparent obstruction. Then there are a bunch of new features, and if you want to see 'em all, just head on over to the official PlayStation forums. There, Seb "MotherH" Downie fills us in on all the details, and that list that encompasses the patch is quite lengthy. Now, where's our co-op, damnit?! Oh right, they've already decided it's not a good idea.
Anyway, if you're still having a blast with KZ2, you're likely more than ready to get an update like this and that Steel & Titanium pack will help a great deal, too.

I have played more than a few games where i had simply stopped playing them because of the amount of glitchers and this is one i refused to give up. Never thought i would ever have to report anyone till that time.
Im pretty happy about the new ranks as well

I can see the need for co-op only if killzone did not have online mode

ive been on the cruser lvl for over a month now and cant get past it because youve got to stop 2 enemies from shooting you from the frount behind left and right.
its ridiculous you need 5 pairs of eyes and 5 pair of arms to get past that lvl.
its a miricle my ps3 TV and controller are still working.
if i can finish COD W@W resistance 1 and 2 Uncharted drakes fortune basicly every game on the highest difficulty why not this.
its driving me nuts only this trophy and the top 1% are holding me back from my fith plat

There needs to be a mode similar to the aforementioned namesake in KZ2 multiplayer..
